They're both great units, but it really will depend on what you want to do with your device. I've broken some of the features down into lists for you. Hopefully, this will help. :)

BB

  • The BB runs at 84.99 for the base unit (no battery or charger included)
  • 510 threaded
  • 6 month warranty
  • Machined in the USA
  • If there's an issue with the unit ever, it's repairable
  • The switch is rated at 200,000 clicks (electrical)/1,000,000 clicks (mechanical)
  • 600-900 mAh (depending on which 14500 battery you use)
  • When the 14500 battery you’re using reaches the end of it’s life, the mod still hasn’t and you can get another battery to use with it for 5-10 bucks.
  • Great with dual coils and tanks of any ohm.

eGo
  • Runs from $17.95-21.95 per battery. (depending which mAh rating you get)
  • 510 threaded
  • 14 day warranty
  • Rechargable
  • Manufactured in China
  • Unfortunately, it's not really repairable. Usually, once the battery fails, the only option is to just replace it. Due to the price, this is an easier option to swallow though.
  • 650-1000mAh rating (depends which battery you purchase.
  • Really not made to be used with an ohm rating under 2.5. The demand placed on the battery by a lower ohm atty/carto has the potential to be too much for the battery, thus killing it :(

That's a pretty good breakdown on the BB and eGo rocks82. But I'd also add that the BB with its 14500 batt's start out at about 4.2 volts fresh off the charger but is not regulated so the voltage drops with use. The eGo I believe puts out around 3.2 or 3.4 volts but is regulated to maintain the same voltage until cutoff. Please correct me if I'v wrong.

Rocks82, you missed a few points.

Ego will only take so many charges. Typically, you WILL trashcan it in 3-5 months.
BB will last indefinitely.

Ego will short out and die if fluid leaks into the battery connector. (this forum is full of such horror stories).
BB will not.

Ego will break if you drop it hard or smack it up against a particularly hard head.
BB... You can run over it with the family car. You MIGHT break the switch, maybe. If it's on concrete.

You are being too kind, Rock82. There really is no comparison.
No offense intended to the OP, but it's kind of a silly question. Kind of like asking what's the difference between Henckels and Ginsu knives.
