My Janty manual eGo has no cut off what so ever.

Did you get it from a Janty supplier?

Actually, Janty eGo's do have a cut off (about 20 seconds), where the LED will turn off momentarily and the atomiser will stop working until you press the button again. The eGo does not however, have any cut off time between being deactivated and reactivated, like an auto batt does, so pressing the switch again will activate the switch right away and most users will not even notice the cut off when it occurs.

In any case the eGo manual batt is not supposed to have a cut off of 7 seconds, nor flash a few times when it does cut off, either. So, I'd send that back and get another if you can.

...

I didn't know that. I guess I have never had the button down that long in that it would probably fry a atty or a carto.

If the OP's battery is cutting off at 7 seconds it sounds like the battery is wiki.
