It might be worth noting that until I got my spinner I had never used a VV bat before. One of the sales perks was that I could control the strength of the vapor, which is true. The other one I remember being pitched is that different flavors will taste different at different voltages. I was skeptical of this at first but now know it to be the truth! My Pixie Dust I prefer at 3.3v, my Cherry Coke blend tastes best at around 4.0 and my Marlboro Menthol is good at all voltages but develops a real chocolately flavor and richness the higher it's turned up.

Nice! :thumb:

I'm very much wanting to try a VW mod now too... probably the Vamo.

I killed one of my Spinners last night by dropping it from about waist high onto a tile floor. Oddly enough when it landed on the floor it hit standing up on the dial end and stayed there in that position until I managed to get "un-horrified" and pick it up. Of course it doesn't work anymore so I took it apart today. The little white plastic "box" that holds the fire button was shattered and fell onto my desk in a small pile of small pieces. I would never expect that it would survive such a blow so I've already ordered another.

I have two 1300 Vision Spinners, and a 900 from Alt Smoke.

With the obvious difference in run time, all work very well, and about the same.

Oddly, considering the nature of mass produced gizmos, identical settings give essentially the same vape, so I'm guessing that the Alt Smoke ones come out of the Vision factory.

Regarding dropping them, well, I do tend to be careful with my gear, but I also use a lanyard on them, too. It helps :tumble:

Yep, mine was on a lanyard and always is. The kicker is that I was adjudting the lanyard. How's that for irony?

I bought my first eGo Twist to have an extra PV to use when I go out. Somehow it broke fairly quickly, and so did the second Twist I bought.

Then I started buying Vision Spinners. You know what? I like them better than my expensive mods in a lot of ways!

So now I have 3 of the big fat Vision Spinners. The charge lasts a long time. I got 2 of the little spinners, and the charge lasts fairly long on those too. I like how small and lightweight they are.

I drop them all them time. I have not had any problems with dropping them. Except the one time I bought one and dropped it and the button got stuck. It was only a month old so the vendor replaced it.

So the verdict is:
Bought 2 eGo Twists 1100s, both stopped working within a few months
Bought 5 Vision Spinner 1300s, 1 had the button stick after I dropped it, and was replaced by the vendor. 1 broke and just stopped working. 3 are fine.
Bought 2 Vision Spinner 650s. Both are fine.

I just found a cheapie place to buy knock off eGo Twists for 12 bucks $11.72 EGO-C Twist 650mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette - silver / 3.2-4.8V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I ordered a couple to see how they are.

I've had a 900 mah Twist for oh, I'd say about 4 months now, and I haven't had any problems with it. I like it. That said, I bought a couple of the AltSmoke 650 mah Spinners a couple of months ago, and I LOVE them. I love them so much that I got a couple of the 1300 mah's, too. I've been using all of them daily and I haven't had a single problem. The main thing is that the dial is just so much easier to use on the Spinners. Plus, AltSmoke has them in fantastic colors!

(FWIW, I saw on the AltSmoke forum, someone asked if they are "genuine Vision Spinners", and they answered "Technically, yes." I take that to mean that they are made by the same manufacturer as Vision, but branded for AltSmoke.)

If you look at the AltSmoke Spinners and the Vision Spinners, you will see they look almost identical, other than the branding and a few more color choices. The Volt Spinner from Smokeless Image is the same way. So I believe they are both rebranded Vision Spinners.

As for dropping, not recommended with any device, although my Spinner has hit the parking lot a couple of times, and has also hit the floor. Not a scratch on the Spinner, and it still works like it did when new, but I don't recommend pushing your luck.

I ordered one of those Rainbow Spinners last week, Steve :)
Can't wait for it to get here.

Has anyone seen a Rainbow colored Twist or Spinner in a 650 or smaller? I'd love to get a small one, Alt Smoke just has the big rainbow Spinners.

I never really looked, not sure what the size difference would be though. My 1300 Mah Spinner is about one inch longer than my Joyetech 650 mah passthrough. It is considerably thicker though.

The third one from the left is the Ego 650 mah passthrough, the fourth one is the 1300 mah Vision Spinner. A little hard to tell from the photo, but the Spinner is not much longer, and almost 1 and 1/2 as thick.

I own two Vision 1300s. Dropped the oldest one, and the button stuck. Worked it out with a push pin and it's okay.

One's approaching a year old, and still holds enough charge to get me through about 3 ml of juice before needing recharged. That's two days, give or take.

The center pin and threads are different between the two. Odd. They have the nasty habit of twisting my Kanger T3s coil...

Girlfriend has an altsmoke 1300. Build quality isn't the same...battery post is tilted. But it works fine.

Never liked the ego 1000 twist. Was like holding a drum stick.

You're sure? How are you testing? No load voltage may be higher than when a coil is attached.

Testing with a Fluke meter, DC Voltage, no load. The bad one stays at 4.1 volts no matter where you adjust the dial. The other good one I have using same testing methods goes from 3.3 VDC up to 4.7 VDC as you adjust the dial. Also, if I put a Kanger T3 on the bad one loaded with my all day vape I get consistent burnt hits. That is not the case with the one that is working properly.

Is the Altsmoke 1300 the same length/width as the Vision 1300? Thanks in advance.
