So the Buzz Pro with a 510 connection will not connect to a Ego atty directly without an adapter? The reason I ask is I have several Ego attys that I would like to continue to use until I jump into the world of cartos and tanks.

So I'd need one of these:

Correct. The skirt around the 510 connector in the ego-specific attys (ego-t, ego-mega, emdcc, etc) doesn't allow a connection to most 510 devices. You will need one of those.

If you are going to upgrade to VV, and want a tank, why not get a matching M1A1 to go with it?

I just may, never used a tank pretty new to all of this and have been using an Ego-T since oh say November.

What cardos work with that tank?

I am thinking Buzz Pro, 510->Ego adapter, some sort of tank/cardo, and yes protected batteries like the AW 750mah RCR123.

I would suggest getting some Regular resistance cartos for the Buzz and get used to that, then do the tank.

I do use dual coil SmokeTechs on my Ego battery but like the ease of a tank. But I have to say tobacco flavors are nice on a cardo while fruit (?) flavors like say Pink spot are nice on a tank.

I am using the Boge 3.0's from Notcigs with the M1A1 tank on a Buzz Pro.
I have never used the Ego tank system, but this is by far the best vaping experience I have ever had. this is my 4th mod, and I have had a JoyE510 and eGo before as well.

I would recommend you keep your eGo tanks on the eGo batteries as a backup, or a smaller secondary device.
I don't take my BP to work, I take my eGo batteries with Smoketek cartos, because if those get lost or trashed, I won't care. If ANYTHING happened to my Buzz, I'd cry.

The biggest difference I notice with the M1A1 tank, vs cartos, is how long these cartos are going to last. Usually the polyfil would have started to turn a little brownish by now, but it is still clear white as it was the day I opened it. I believe this is because the carto is constantly wet, and never burning low on liquid.

I would have agreed with this before I got my Buzz, but the same carto works perfectly for both, but at a different voltage.

Arkador...you answered my question before I even asked it......looks like I'll be adding the tank to my order...thanks!!!!

BTW...exactly where do I punch the holes in the carto? just one or two? Getting Boge 3.0's. Also any tips on getting the carto into the tank easily...have never done this before but am pretty handy. :)

I held the carto right next to the tank, in the position I wanted them to sit together, and marked the spot just above where the bottom of the tank will be on the carto. There is about 1mm of the carto (Not including the connector) sticking out the bottom of my tank, and about 5-6mm sticking out the top.

Then I used a Self Tapping Saddle Valve, to punch a hole. My hole turned out bigger than i was expecting, so I only punched one. Unless your liquid is more than 30%VG, it is probably thin enough to work well with a single hole.

The Smoketek's only include a single tiny hole on their Prepunched, mine is easily 3x the diameter of theirs, and I have no leaking issues.

We talked about punching the cartos on THIS THREAD
There is a link to the video discussion , and even some discussion about the process.

As to getting it in easy, I just licked my finger, and rubbed my saliva on the orings, and that provided enough lubricant to slide the tank over the carto. Then just position it so that the hole you punched is sitting right at the bottom, of the inside of the tank.

Great info here, so much to learn. But not I'm hearing rumblings of an Envy device from the maker of the Buzz/Infinity Pro.

To sum:

If I want to use my Ego attys need 510->Ego adapter
Try carto first, and/or get tank with purchase of BP
Cardos not LR as what I use with Ego, higher Ohms and use more voltage
Cardos need to be punched/cut to use in a tank
Best to get protected batteries

I'm sure all I gleaned here will apply but thisEnvy device may delay my BP ordering.

If you're looking to try an excellent notcigs PV, can afford a BP or IP, I'd go for it now, rather than wait on an Envy. The reason is that there is always something in the pipeline, but they take time before production is ready. BP and IP are both in full production, right now.

My first VV was an original Infinity, the latest production device as of last Feb. I'm very happy to have bought it rather than delaying until the BP came out. The transition to a solid, rugged, VV PV, after vaping stock 808 and Riva 510 gear, was a huge positive in vaping for me. With the other PVs, any time one dropped on the floor it was an "is it going to work?" thing, while the Infinity and BP are simply expected to work.
