Yeah, it's been done quite a bit. The ego-T atty I used had a resistance of 2.45 ohms, which is the high side of what they usually are (2.2ish) I have used a tank on my Infinity up to about 4.6V, on my P-18 at 3.65V, and on my GLV-2 5 volt which puts out a true 5.0V. The atty is still working fine, but unsure if it's lifespan will ultimately be shortened, mainly from the 5V use, which was pretty extended. I have pretty much stopped the tank experiment though. The draw was just too airy for my liking and I own 3.2ohm Map Tanks anyway, which are just so much better for this type of thing. But it's fun playing around with it. Just remember if you don't measure the resistance of the atty, assume it is 2.2ohm, meaning your max voltage is around 4.2V.

Here's mine with the extender and Stainless Ego-T atty, I put in on for the pic and then realized it tasted pretty good, so I'll use it for awhile like this at 3.85V

Virk, does that shorty 510 to 510 adaptor work in general and is just too short to use with the tank atty or doesn't it work at all with the Infinity due to the short positive pin? I want a short 510 extender to space my Map tank closer to the Infinity body, since the 510 battery extender looks goofy as you can see:

But your Map Tank looks like a rocket ship! The eGoT does too lol.
Ok made me find that stupid adapter and check, no, it's too short. I tried on multiple batteries as well. The battery connector threads are shorter than normal so it can't screw in far and even if it could the inside post does not protrude past the threads so it still would not make a connection, it's utterly useless. (in Bov's case... udderly useless) :)

I bought that adapter, it didn't work. The inside connector (positive post) was too short.

Virk,

If what you are talking about when you say,"inside connector (positive post) was too short," you mean the male end of the 510-510 adaptor from avid, did you notice there is a 1/16 ring that screws off of the male end. I screwed this off and it works fine.
