Hey...just noticed my vaping buddy ran into a prob and posted the request below in tech issues...thought maybe I'd try helping by trying this thread instead...:D Everybody needs an awesome vape buddy :D

Ego-T Battery and Atty
Noticed that while taking a draw about 3-4 seconds in to it the light blinks 3 times and cuts off, I fully charged battery and still does it. I tried it on both batteries and both do it. Is this normal? I haven't noticed it before so not sure if it has always done it. 2nd question : While pulling tank out of my New LR Atty the spike came out with it and now won't stay. I've popped it down as far as it goes and spike comes back out, is it dead now or is there a trick to salvage it? I've contacted vendor but not sure if will make good. Any advice will be apprecitated

I don't know anything about your battery issue but might be able to help with your piercing plate issue. Try pushing it back in with a mulithead screwdriver with no bit. The tube should be big enough to cover the spike and small enough to get inside the atty. If you don't have a mulithead screwdriver try a pen tube. Push down until you hear it pop back in. Hope this helps you! :)

First about the spike coming out. Did just the spike come out, or did the whole spike platform come out? If it was the whole platform, you can get it to go back in. Just put a tank on the spike how it would normally sit, insert the platform with tank attached and push firmly. To make sure the platform is seated, invert the atty and knock the tank on to a hard surface. That should reseat the platform into the atty. I've had the platform pull loose on one of mine, and doing this worked. If just the spike came out, there is no easy way to put it back and know it is secure. It should be replaced.

As for the short cut-off time on the battery, the cut-off is set for 10 seconds... or at least it should be. Does the battery have the normal 5-click turnoff/turn on function? If it does not have the 5 click safety function, the battery is probably some cheap knock-off. Your best bet on that would be to return the battery for replacement or refund.

I have or so thought I did that with the tank pushing it back in and kept coming out but after reading your reply tried it again and popped as hard as I could and did hear a snap and it didn't come back out so thanks for the tip, and on the ego-t battery the one I got don't have the 5click safty function but the company assured me it was before they came up with it and it had a cover type thingy for the button but you know how that goes huh... I would state vendor but they do post here and don't want to ruffle feathers. Thanks for all the help.

To add to this, I did contact vendor cause my new LR Atty totally died and he did offer ( even though stated that LR Attys are not covered under warranty ) to replace it this one time so that was a very nice jesture I think. I did manage to pop the spike/head back on my other atty and all vapes well now. I had a poorly working one straight out of box so after a few fills I decided to clean it and now it vapes pretty good. I did place order for some egot LR dual coil cartomizers to use some so Hopefully all goes good from here on out. Thanks for the Help

Btw, dont use your 650mah (short standard ego-t battery) with the LR version of the atty. it will KILL the battery.

I would ask are you for real but I know you are and that is what I have is the 650mah battery, are you saying kill it like run it down faster ( thats what the guy told me ) or Kill it like never work again??? My excitment just crashed and burned OHNO

kill as in run down the battery but dramatically increase the DoD Rate (depth of discharge Rate) . When you have a Li-on battery, if the rate at which discharge happens is too high, it reduces the overall capacity of the battery each time, until you end up with a battery that only gets to 60% charge on full. Maybe ill buy a multi-meter and check out the mAH rating of my batteries to see this.

This is based on my readings from BatteryUniversity.com

Yup to both questions

Battery University should be compulsory reading IMO. A layman's version Vape Central: Battery - FAQ
