Hello everyone!

I'm new here and new to using e-cigs. I'd used a few disposables and decided to buy a kit to get started.

I bought an Ego-t kit from dealextreme. Opened up the box and UKKK! A sticky mess! Several of the pre-filled tanks had leaked. Luckily, the batteries charger etc were all in individual plastic bags and didn't have too much liquid on them. Hard to see in the picture but the Ego-T sticker on the box and that entire end of the box is soaked with juice.

I've already used one of the partially filled cartridges. Another is in the atomizer. You can see the second one from the left is still in the bag and is empty. All of the liquid has leaked out. The other two have leaked a little.

I'd suggest not buying this kit unless you want to deal with a sticky mess.

How is it working?

The batteries are fine. The atomizer is not giving me quite as much vapor as I'd like but it's better than the disposables I've used before. The juice is not quite strong enough for me. I still have the need to smoke some real ones.

Also, 5 cartridges even if they hadn't leaked won't last me very long.

I've ordered a bottle of medium-high strength juice and some empty cartridges. Hopefully, this will arrive leak free.

I'm not sure if this is a real Ego or a clone. Not all of the parts are shown in the picture. The entire kit is 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 tanks and a charger.

That's a shame Mate if I were you I would get in touch with the people you bought the kit from. Let them know how it was when you got it. Maybe they could do something but not to sure about that. I think its worth a try though. That not a good experience buying your first set-up damn!! I hope they make things right for ya.

I could probably send the kit back for a refund. It's not really worth it. I bought this from a Chinese company. Return postage would cost me more than it's worth. It only cost me $20 for the kit. I knew there's a risk buying from the really cheap Chinese sellers. I decided to buy this because I look at it as basically for temporary use. This should help me decide what product I'll end up using. I'd consider this a win since the device is working. It makes vapor and the batteries charged up and didn't explode :)

I just thought I should warn others about the mess.

And, I've already learned some from using it. It has a button that you must press to turn on the heater. I've found that I like this better than the automatic E-cigs that I used before. I can Pre-heat it by pressing the button a little before I take a drag. I get better vapor doing it this way. Doing this gets rid of my earlier complaint about not enough vapor.

This could be a minus point for some. If you really want a device that behaves like a real cig, you won't like pushing a button.

Also a plus point that I forgot to mention in my last post is that the battery uses a common 510 type screw on connection. There are many choices of vaporizer that will fit. After reading through this forum I decided to buy the combined cartridge and vaporizer units. I think "Cartomizer" is the correct name here. These were cheap enough that I probably won't bother trying to clean them when they start going bad.

I wish I'd found this forum before I started buying. I'd probably have made some different choices.

This is a great place to get ideas and info. I'm sure you will be like most of us here at some point. You buy something to start out with and use it for awhile. The more reading you do make you want to try different things. It all depends on how much money you want to spend also. Good luck with you new vaping toys and I hope you will find something down the road that will work out great for you. Happy Vaping!!

That sucks - I'd have been pretty miffed at receiving that but looks like you've got a working kit, so a silver lining there.

At least the batteries are sound.

I hold the button for a good 2 seconds before I take a hit off my PV, get's the coil going and that's my preferred method. I found with ciglikes I could never get a decent hit unless I took a few drags in quick succession. Some people prefer the automatic e-cigs, I've grown to prefer the button, feels like I've got more control.

Welcome to the forums too :)

The pic is small, so not sure what sort of cartos they sent you, but I think if you buy a couple decent clearos, and some good juice, you will be fine.

The one on the left is what came with the kit. On the right is what I got a few days ago.

I also bought a bottle of 3% strength menthol flavor juice. Tastes more like what I'm used to smoking. The juice that came with the kit was much too sweet for me. It was like sucking on a candy bar! The new clearomizers hold a lot more. The battery will run down before I need to refill. The original ones hold very little juice.

Also, I'm getting about eight hours of use out of the battery. Is this normal? Does anyone know what ma/hr capacity it is? The info that came with the kit didn't list a battery capacity. A picture of the battery is attached.
