I've poured through all of the forums and still can't seem to find the answer to this...

I just bought my first eGo-T LR Type A Attie and the amount of juice that's leaking out of the cartridge and through the attie onto the battery is unreal....so much precious juice WASTED!!!!

I've gone through 3 new cartridges, thinking maybe they were the issue but it hasn't helped. I've tried pre-puncturing the cart making a smaller hole...no help. I'm at a loss here. Do I just have a bum attie or ???

HALP!!

I found with LR atomizers to use the silicone caps instead of the hard plastic ones. Some reason, the pin inside isn't the same diameter as a stock atomizer. Once i went to silicone caps haven't had any leaks...

BTW you dont have to buy the newer style carts, but they do pull more air through, making it easier to drag, so I recommend getting the caps+translucent carts, but all you really need are the caps.

Hitliquid.com has them for 2.25 for a 5 pack of just caps, and even cheaper if you use a coupon code, and cart 5 packs with the rubber ends for 6 bucks I think.

BTW, use VAPORBOARDS for 15% off... shipping is like 3 bucks snail mail. Sadly the ECF coupon doesnt work for me anymore... :(

Personally I got tired of carts lately, hard to clean the atomizers properly. Moved on to Clearomizers and loving them! So much more flavor, 5 packs for like 10-12 bucks. Bit harder to fill but so much more enjoyable. Hope all this helps! :)

And alas, no I do not work or are affiliated by them. Just a happy customer! :)

I have had nothing but issues with the tank system myself. Out of 7 attys i only got one of them that worked correctly and that only lasted about a week. As far as the leaking issues just as of a day ago i took a buddy of mine 2 attys that came in his kit and the lr one leaked horribly. I actually made a video about it too Tank System Fail

I vape a few different liquids ranging from pure PG to 50/50 and regardless of the liquid they still leaked, granted not as bad a pure PG but still bad enough to ruin the experience.

If you really want to stick with the tank system i would recommend picking up a new atty or 2, or pick up some 510 attys and some carts or drip tips and move on.

The wick is there...not too low The cap is on the tank very securely and the hole is punctured correctly.
Thanks tho...
Anyone else?

You might just wanna make sure again. You will know when you have punctured it correctly since you will will hear a slight click. New tanks do take a little bit of umph to get them in their proper place.

There is another issue. If the hole you made in the tank is a bit to big than that will cause leaking due to excessive amounts of liquid seeping from that hole down the atomizer and thus all over your battery and yourself.

If the hole was punctured correctly than it should have not leaks. I have all of my original atties and tanks from when I bought them 4 months ago without any issues besides the first tank that I've used. Which is on it's way out right now.

Taking the tank off and on to many times will also cause this. But that takes a while (a month or two) unless your to aggressive with it.

Thanks for the response :) Believe me... I checked, re-checked and re-re-checked lol

I'm pushing the tank down as far as it will go, it makes the click and then I vape for an hour or so and there is leakage again.

I'm using the piercing needle that is built into the attie, so it should be a snug fit yes? I'm not sure of any other way to 'correctly' puncture the hole ...

I have noticed that there is less leakage with the regular vs the LR.

I think I just have to accept that this is just an issue with the tank system. I HAVE ordered soft rubber tank caps from China that are supposed to reduce/eliminate the leaking. I'll update everyone after I've tried them. Obviously I'm not the only one having this issue if they've actually made a product to help with the problem.

I think that using the right juice helps with keeping the attie from gumming up and stiffing the draw to a standstill. Silicone caps help if you have your wick adjusted correctly. I was also able to use the standard with little problems, but wanted to try the lr only to fail.

I have been direct dripping while I try to figure out how to make the tanks work. The darn things are too expensive be this much of a hassle, but I bought them, so I am going to make it work. I plan on trying a new atty with almost no sugar and fairly thin juice to prevent gumming it.
