the makers of the ego style batteries recommend no lower they say 1.7 ohms as it could short the device and lessen the battery life. and no higher the 3 ohms as it just doesnt have the ooomph needed to make the coil hot. i would stay between 1.7 to 2.8 ish range while sitting at about 2.0- 2.4 for myself. the higher the number the less heat so if something doesnt seem to cook it good enough drop down a little

Ok great thanks for the info! Just what I was looking for!!

usually when trying something new that offers replaceable heads I will just order a couple different resistances and try them to see whats best. something like carto's I usually start with only 1 or 2 in different ratings then order more of what I like best.

well the good ol standard for just plain ol cheap and reliable is the vivinova, i tried kanger t2 clearos and thought they rocked getting a few more soon. in the end get something that works and just try new things once in a while, figure if you save a couple 100 a month then spend 1/4 of that tryin new stuff, maybe whats 30 - 40 a month on a couple clearos or tank or something, and if something comes up you really want thats not cheap just wait n save! personally im bad w the playing, but i stay well under my cig cost so i dont really care lol.

Thrasher, thanks for providing the link to the cleaning document for the Viva Nova... I bought my last batch of e-cigg stuff over a year ago and went back to smoking... Now I gave up the analogs about 2 months ago and am finding that my 3 y/o 510Mega batteries are finally dying. (It's the battery button on most of them, those dumb little pieces of rubber are shredding with constant use. 2.5 pack a day smoker) Been wanting to try some of the new clearomizers but didn't know what to expect, the picture of the disassembled cartridge will really help me put it all together in my head. I've got my eye on a twist too.. I just bought a pass through so that I can play with it and make sure that's what I really want before I buy 4 or 5 batteries. (My husband also quit at the same time so well probably need no less than 6 batteries to keep us going.)

Does anyone know of a multi port Ego Twist charger (not the USB type, but a wall charger with multiple battery slots) that will handle Ego/Riva batteries and charge them quickly? I'm looking for something along the lines of the TW multiport charger for 510's but designed with the quick charge electronics for the EGO C Twist. 510 Titan/Tornado 10 Battery Mega Charger

Replacement buttons for the 510 would be nice too, currently I've got a machine screw stuck into the hole on the 510 I'm using. It actually works pretty slick...

well no matter what good luck with what ever you try, I do not know of 510 replacement parts, as for the twist/spinner batteries to lessen the cost try to ration it out 2 batts for now, to get going , then next month when buying something else chuck another batt in the cart, do it this way and 3-4 months later you have 4-5 batteries. if you want to stick with the ego stuff. by rotating a couple out a week they should have a real long life span.
look on google or like amazon for a multi port USB charger/charging station you may have to buy the actual usb to bat charger but may be able to find a cool hub to plug them all in, get a twist 1000 or spinner 1300 battery and you will last a day easy, hard to imagine coming from a 510 3 batts a day type system lol.
