The first generation of ego-t batteries didn't have the 5 click feature, and some stores are still selling them. The 900mah batteries don't have it, the regular ego batteries don't have it, and the battery on the usb PT doesn't have it (even the 1000mah PT battery doesn't). You can purchase a battery button protector ring if your battery doesn't have it. Your best bet is to ask the vendor before buying if the website doesn't specify that the battery has the 5 click feature.

the click protectors/ they are funny. be careful it doesn't spin on top the button or you'll be hearing a sizzle in your pocket until it hits cutoff. been there. I don't bother. the don't fire off. I carry my pv in a pen pocket on my riding jacket.

woohoo 3 new converts today. running out of business cards to hand out :D

I noticed that about the click protectors, too. I had to get one to transport my USB PT in my crowded purse (it did go off without it in there). Now I have to make sure I don't see any light when I put it on. Not the best design, IMO.

and they got rid of that feature in later revisions? seems odd.

You have it backwards. The first bunch of eGo-T sets came with the battery which doesn't have the 5-click feature. The newer ones do have the 5-click feature. For example, I bought an eGo-T starter kit the day they were released, and my battery doesn't have the 5-click feature. If I were to buy one now, if I wasn't getting old stock, it would have the 5-click feature.
