What about if the battery doesn't turn off? One of the two batteries that came with his kit, when you screw the atomizer on it starts heating up without even pushing the button. It starts heating up immediately and you have to take it off. Going to call the vendor in the morning but was just wondering what you guys may have thought about this as well as the previous question.

Could be the atty isn't getting any juice. That's usually culprit with a burnt taste. Check the basics, make sure you have juice in your tank, that the atty is wicking and getting juice. Or the atty could just be dirty. I'm sure others will stop by here and give some more ideas.

The hole in the bottom of the tank isn't clogged at all. Tank is full of juice. The atomizer is a week old with minimal use. How can I tell if it is wicking?

Take the cone off where the atty is, drop a few drops of juice onto the little pointed end. Put it back together and give it a few vapes. If you get flavor without a burnt taste, then the tank is probably leaking juice around the atty. If it tastes the same, you may need to either replace the atty or clean the current one.

Sometimes I get a burnt taste after a few days..so I take the atomizer apart (pull out the metal wick portion with a small flathead screwdriver)... Rinse the wick with hot water...soak the atomizer for an hour or so in vodka...rinse it....shake excess water out..do a dryburn till you see the red glow...reassemble and vape away! Burnt taste is gone... until the next time LOL

Regarding the battery: just yesterday one of my batteries overheated in my hand.. and kept getting hotter after I put it in the "off" mode! I'm thinking they just can short-circuit and fry suddenly. No warning. So now I'm leary about carrying them around in my purse (which, when I go to work, I leave in my locker all day at work) ...what if one of my batts did this overheating thing while "unattended"... ???? All kinds of horrors come to mind.

I had that battery a few months, so I did not contact the vendor as I'm thinking most vendors only stand good for DOA and no guarantees otherwise.

I'll try the vodka soak. Sorry. Correction to my previous post. It's not the battery that is heating up. It's the atomizer. The battery is just constantly on. Have to unscrew the atomizer because the atomizer is what is getting super hot. (Without even depressing the Ego-T battery button.)
