I ordered an Ego T a few days ago and it tastes/smells like chemicals. Now I tried some ways of cleaning it and it still has alot worse taste than the stock atomizer. Am I doing something wrong or is mine faulty and should I send it back or is there a way to fix it? It has very nice vapor and is just simply alot easier to use..its a shame that it tastes so bad.

It's possible you need to 'prime' the Atomizer. You do this by taking several long 'primer' puffs before depressing the power button. These new eGo T Atomizers don't use 'gravity' to prime the attys, but 'air'... so to get the juice to the Atomizer you need to 'prime' it pretty frequently using the method I described above. Listen for the 'sizzle' after you prime it and before you take a drag.. you should hear that familiar well primed Atty 'sizzle'.. not a gurgle and not a nothing.. (a gurgle means it's flooded, a nothing means it's dry and it's burning)... so keep that atty sizzlin'.... Before I discovered this little 'tip' mine was tasting anywhere from 'dry' to 'burnt'.. but this fixed the problem with mine. Try this and tell me if it helps :)

I hear it sizzle. It just doesn't taste as good for some reason. The burning and chemical smell are gone from yesterday I guess. I tried to clean it last night and I think it did the trick.

I tried dripping a few drops into it and taking a few puffs without inhaling and it seems to help. It just doesn't seem to have the flavor of the standard atomizer I guess.

I'm such a novice that I had no idea how to even use the tank. Had o experience before I found this forum.Did not realize I needed special cartridges, I just added juice to the cart that came on the tank never even considered I needed to blow out the fluid that came in the tank and just vaped away..LOL. Needless to say I loaded the tank up pretty well with juice and it worked in a primitive sort off way. Now much wiser I have the proper carts for the tank and know how to set a new tank up thanks to this forum.
