So I've somehow gotten liquid in the tip of my eGo-C tank. How did I manage that? How do I prevent it? And how do I clean these tanks properly?

Paper clip or thumbtack to pop out the two pieces at the tip, paper towel to dry it up. It's vapor condensation. Happens all the time with the -C tanks. Mildly annoying, but easy to fix. Do you use the soft rubber tip cover that came with it? I found using that caused even more condensation to form. One thing that can help a little ... after you release the battery button, pull for another second or so to get any residual vapor out of the air channel. Helps some.

Ego C's are known leakers. They were supposed to be an improvement over the EGO-T but, the fact is, they're not. What you can do is get a new clearomizer tank to put on the top and throw that tank system in your backup drawer. I recommend the Vivi Nova. Also when you get some extra money together you might want to pick up an EGO C Twist replacement battery from Altsmoke. They're $26 for a 1000 mah version and they go from 3.2v to 4.8v which gives you amazing versatility for the price. There was a time just a few months ago when you had to pay well over $100 to get something that did anything like the twist does for a quarter of the price.

I guess the lesson to be learned here it to do your research before you buy stuff. I'm not trying to throw salt on your wounds, but I do want you to learn from this experience. Let other people find out the bad stuff about certain products and then you can avoid it for free.

One of the best places to do research is actually YouTube. Here are a couple of my favorite reviewers:
GrimmGreen Industries - YouTube
PBusardo's Vaping Reviews - YouTube
Vaping Estarra - YouTube

Cleaning them is a lot easier than it looks. I just use a syringe and distilled water through them then shake the crap out of them to get the water out. Kind of like how you use to do with a thermometer (before digital). Don't even have to take the end cap off.

You can get the tip clean by aiming the syringe at the air hole on the side. Don't stick it in just aim the stream.

Ah ok! Thanks muchly! I thought I did something wrong - I'm glad that is not the case. It was puffing just fine, so Ill just try to figure out how to pull it apart later, so it will be all pretty once again. (wipes juice out of her hair). When once speaks of a "syringe" - what are we talking about? How big? With a needle?

Shoga - no salt, no wounds. I researched and purposefully ordered a simple system that I could adapt as I grew to understand more. Right now all I need is something that is simple and works, and I got that

No need to use a syringe. Just pop the little pieces out of the mouth piece end and run under hot water. Lay on a paper towel to dry, or you can kind of roll the towel up some and get it up into the tank and dry it out. Back when I used the -C system I had 10 tanks so I could always have a few drying while others were in use.

I've only been at this for a couple of months but more and more I am hearing things like "Back when I used the -C system". I wish I had done a little more research. I ended up with using 510 cartomizers and (what turned out to be) extremely expensive EGO-C batteries.

I purchased two ego T's and gave one to a friend to use and he seems to have the same thing happen to his tank. For him I think he draws too hard as if he is still smoking a cigarette, but I cleaned it out easy enough by just soaking in warm water and shaking it out.

Let's put it this way. A cheap 808 and cartos got me off cigarettes. The eGo-C and its relative ease kept me off them. I've moved on to CE3 bottom coils now, but the -C kit was a smart investment in my opinion, since the 808 kit was killing me with refilling all the time.

When I was using these tanks, one thing I had to be careful of is handling the thin mouthpiece part. It's easy to crack if you handle it to place the tank on the spike. I cracked a few when I first got them, and consciously started using the thicker part of the tank (Where the juice goes). However, sometimes this just happens (Juice just makes a channel, and builds in a specific area of the tank {Typically one side of the other}). Clean it, refill it, and reset it. It should be fine.

I own Provari, Ego C- Twist, and a variable voltage box mod, and still pull the Ego- C out from time to time. When I got it, it was the newest thing, and I agree it kept me off tobacco. Much better than the Blu that I started with. I think it's still cool to stealth vape with (650 mah non variable is very small). If it's working for you, that's all that counts. If you like it, then that's the best one.

I do agree with you. The EGO-C did get me off cigarettes. The problem I had with it was when I ride my motorcycle. The vibration would shake every bit of liquid out of it after about 5 miles. What a mess. When I started using the cartos that problem went away.

I think the issue for me was that I had no idea these tanks came apart! I have that one pictured nicely cleaned and drying as we speak. And now I know so thank you all very much!. I quite like this model and havent had an analogue cig (nor even wanted one) for 3 whole days now - which is amazing to me.

But every question seems to bring up more. What are the advantages of cartos or cartomizers that you guys are talking about? I guess Im not seeing the advantage of a foam filling over a tank like I have. Nor the advantage of a combined atty + cart over having seperate atty and tank.

Educate me please?

I can say this much for he Ego-c and tanks in general everyone has had different experiences with them and that it is really up to the user. As I said I have been using a tank C for a long time a T first for over a year and I ride a motorcycle and have never had a tank leak. But again everyone has different experiences, I know people who will only drip some that will only use clearo's and some that only use tanks. I have never found an advantage of the foam filling over a tank the combined atty + tank is the amount that you can hold most well over 3 mls of liquid where as the tank you seem to have holds about 1.1mls of liquid.
