Ego Tank info... my head is spinning a bit...

Forgive me for providing the forum with this dead horse to beat but I really want to pose a few personalized questions for the experienced members here. First let it be said that I'm not entirely new to vaping. A few years back I tried an NPRO, and frequented the forums quite a bit. I've been absent for a while but I'm wanting to get back into it. I have been reading and reading on the Ego tank system and feel like I'm overthinking the whole thing. I really need to just break down and buy a kit so I can get my feet wet but... here we go.

1) I'm debating where to buy first off. I know a great deal of this is subject to personal preference but I figured I would ask if any one company or branding is offering a better product than the rest? I'm bouncing between Janty Jets, Totally Wicked Tornado, and Cignot Joye Ego T. Do any of them have better track records than the other? Is any one more secure to order from than the other? I have to admit that I'm a little put off that Janty and TW don't really have any SSL or Secure ID's posted on their sites. I don't mean any offense to anyone as I'm sure that employees or owners of all 3 are more than likely members here but I felt like putting that out there.

2) (really more of a Totally Wicked question) I'm looking at the Tornado Tank Compact Kit... it comes with a 650 mah battery... if I also purchase the 1000 mah batteries will the 650 charger work with them? Is the Compact Kit is that just a way of saying it only comes with one atty and one battery?

3) Do all of the Totally Wicked Tornado Tank batteries come with the 5 click on/off system? I'm really wanting this as a must have feature!

4) I hear that a mix of PG and VG work best with the tank system... I guess thickening up the liquid a bit helps with leaks. I looked but I didn't see that TW offered a NO NIC liquid... am I missing something? Flavorless would be prefferable.

5) Similar with the last question... can someone refer me to the best no nic liquid? I know this is also subject to opinion but I'm looking to start out with a combo of a super high nic liquid matched with a no nic liquid. Behind that I'm going to get some TW flavorings so I can mix up my own batches. So hit me with your favorite liquid suppliers. I've been looking at TW, Cignot, and I checked on Americaneliquid.com...
Really, the fewer ingredients in the liquid the better for me. I'm switching to vaping to help my lungs out so buying from a company that might load me up with yet more chemicals is not what I'm after.

So that's probably not all the questions I can come up with but it's a good start. Many thanks to anyone who is willing to chip in here on yet ANOTHER nubie-tank-discussion... I really appreciate it.
Thanks.

I'll help you with 1, 2, and 3. Hopefully a flavorless no-nic vaper will come along and get you pointed int he right direction.

1) The totally Wicked tornado is a Joye eGo-t. They are the same thing but TW gets a fancy paint job for theirs. Cignot treated me right on my eGo-t kit back in January and I continue to buy odds and ends from her. My purchase experience with TW was not nearly as nice. --- I've never looked closely at the janty stuff.

2) The 1000 mah and 650 mah batts use the exact same charger. And, yes. I noticed their compact kit before and I'm pretty sure it comes with a single battery and atty.

3) They are supposed to and by now I would have to guess that they do. Back in January when the tanks were hitting the shelves, TW and several other vendors were moving older batteries out of their stock by pairing them with an ego-t tank atty. By now, all of their batteries should have the 5 click off. I can personally testify that Vicky's eGo-t batts at cignot all have this feature.

Your questions 4 and 5 are out of my wheelhouse. I know where to find zero nic, but I have no idea if some flavorless is better than others.... Good luck on that, and I'm sure I'll check this thread in the near future to obtain a little education about that particular topic.

I got my kit from cignot and it has been good to me. Got all of my original tanks and atties that I've bought there and they are still hitting like champs after 3 months of fairly heavy use.

If one of my atties actually die on me in the future than that's where I'm getting it. And yeah, the site is secure. More than the others? I can't tell you since I only order my ego-t products from one source.

Regarding your juice. You can try TastyVapor.us. They sell nic juice as high as 48mg (do NOT vape undiluted) and 0mg doublers. You can specify the PG/VG mix you prefer. There are a few other sites that sell doublers if you look around.

Regarding e-liquid content. Your nicotine juice is a combination of PG, VG, nicotine and flavouring. If you DIY, you can thin with a little vodka. I don't know of any company pulling Big Tobacco "additive tricks" with their juice. It's a lot safer than smoke.

I have a love hate relationship with TW. One one hand, they seem smug, are never online and their QC on cartos is hit and miss. However, I am presently vaping on a Tornado 650 that I have had for over a year and it is still going strong. I find them a little over priced, but the MAJORITY of the stuff I have purchased from them has actually been pretty good. I am using an atomizer from them that has gone strong for over a year as well. That's kind of unheard of, I do not however, use it everyday. They are a little pricer than most, but they have a great special going on now, and I just got an email that said they are lowering their prices across the board after the sale.

I just ordered some CE2's from them, never tried them and curiosity and a good sale got the best of me. I did not however purchase anything else.

i got my ego-t from cignot and it couldnt have been a more pleasurable buy experience. one of the main reasons i went with cignot other than the customer service was the fact i could customize my kit. i really like the fact i could chose 1 1000mah bat and 1 650mah bat if i wanted or,i could get LR attys or regular (of course i got LR) and even the fact i could chose the color of the batteries and tanks if i wished. their prices are also good and i recieved my order extremely fast. like 2 days before i thought it could ever get here and i dont live that close.

as far as how thick your juice is i havent had a problem with juice being to thin with a my ego-t yet. even with 100% PG juices i have had zero leaking problems. the only problem with juice in the tanks ive had have been from the juice being to thick (100% VG) and would not wick fast enough. YMMV but this has been my experiences.

Liberty-Flights sells Ego-T's. They have a section on this forum. You can always confirm they have everything you want with their Ego-T starter kit before you make a purchase.

For what it's worth, most manual batteries have a 10-second (or so) shutoff so they don't start a fire in your pocket. Some models (E-Power, Riva) have a little plastic button protector ring also.

Well thanks. Thats a shame, I was really hoping for that shutoff feature.
So, where should I get my first Ego T from?

    Cignot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have great quality, their 510 attys have been the longest-lasting I have found, and their service is outstanding.

Do yourself a favor if you get your Ego-T from Cignot. Make sure you get a matching quantity of silicone caps for the tanks and throw away the plastic caps (or save them for emergencies). The silicone caps will help keep you from having fluid leaks.

    +1

That's where I got mine from and couldn't have been happier. Plus, the customer service there is an A++++
Every other vendor I've dealt with after that has been held to that type of standard.
