First of all, hello everyone. I've really enjoyed this site and all the great info.
I do have a question on the ego tank vs no tank tho.
The wife and i have been vaping for a couple of months now and loving it with our 808 style ecigs,
But we are thinking we would like to try to step up to the ego. We've read tons of great reviews on them and their long battery life.
If I get the tank style and she gets a carto style, what exactly are the differences with the units themselves? I kinda know about the cartos and tanks differences, i think, but not about the batteries.
Are the batteries different? Can you put a carto on a tank battery if you want?
Thanks in advance.
It's nice to be here.

There isn't a difference in the batteries at all. The tank uses a cone style atomizer and a special tank rather than the cylinder type, but you can use either style, regular carts or cartomizers on them. All you would need (if you really wanted to use it) is the plain cone that comes with the regular eGo kits. I've been thinking about getting the tanks for my fiance because he really loves the Riva/eGo batteries.

The tank atomizer is special in that you need to use it with the tanks. It's designed to pierce the tank so the liquid can get to the wick.

Hi Erf and welcome to ECF Forums,
I see you are in Arizona. Are you in the Phoenix area? We have a monthly vape meeting you might be interested in. People get together, vape, have a sandwich, talk about e-cigs, and look at different models that members are using. It is informal, friendly and laid back.

Above is a link that might give you some more info.

The only difference between the eGo and eGo-T batteries is the on/off system. The original eGo batteries can't be turned off, but the new style eGo-T batteries have a "5 click" system to turn off the batteries, so you don't need a button protector when you put them in your pocket.

Everything is interchangeable :)

Why not a PigCig, or as I just found out on this forum the CigEasy Elegant or GoGo. If you like the 808 series, and just want a bigger battery, it seems logical to get the bigger batter.

I opted for the t-rex myself. It was available local with a 900mah battery, I was thinking of going totally 510 anyway, and it seems to be VERY WELL PROTECTED from overfill at both ends.

Thanks for the replies folks. I've been watching video reviews all day and think I have it figured out.
Pkj, yes were in the east valley, and a vape meet sounds like fun.
Let me know when the next one is and we'll see if we can make it.

Just sent you a PM with info about the Phoenix Vapers Meetup group. Let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance.

Happy Vaping,
