I have a couple of Ego Twists 1000mah, that I got a couple of months ago. Got them at the same time, with the USB charger. One is fine, the ohter, not so much.

First, it doesn't always respond to the 5click on/off, and I have to try it a few times to get it to do what I want. I went to charge a dead battery, and the charger showed green after about an hour, which is not long enough for it to charge fully. But it was fine for a few hours before I got the 30 blinks. Went to charge it again, and it took an hour again to show it had charged fully. Went to use it, and now every time I hit the button it blinks several times at me. Doesn't actually matter if it's on or off. It does the same thing.

My charger is working fine. I charged the other battery today with the normal expected results, i.e, it took several hours as always.

Obviously I am well past the vendor's 14 day return policy. It is a genuine Joytech. And I have since bought better stuff so I don't need it. So, my question is, mess with it some more, or just trash it?

2.0ohm vivi nova. It's fine, I have it on my other Ego twist right now. Whole lotta postage and time on the way to China, but you do have a good point, actually.

Understand, that you may have bought a 2.0ohm clearo/tank but after use the ohms can go up or down, depending on buildup, etc. The only good way to check is to have a multimeter or one of these (or similar):

Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter

wouldn't be without it....

It's 2.0. I rewicked it myself, and have since rechecked it when I threw it on another device. I'm not a newbie. :) Having said that, I was just curious about my battery issue, and a bit apprehensive to continue using a wonky battery. I do not need the battery, but I am oddly attatched to it, and I cannot bring myself to just toss it.

Ok. Good ;) It's just something that needs to be checked - sometimes people wipe out a few batts with a bad atty. I understand the attachment :) I have had one batt where I think I blew the short protection and when I put it back on the charger, it did charge and lasted a bit longer. I've also had the case where (I don't turn the battery off when charging) the battery isn't firing and I turn it off and back on and all is well. I don't have any other tricks. On some batts if you tap rather hard on the flat bottom it can 'fix' them - I've done that with a cigar batt and a few cig style autos but never on an eGo.... well, I've tried but to no avail.

I emailed Joytech. We will see what happens.

Upon doing some further research, it seems others have had this same issue. Although 3-clicks indicates a short, pulling the center pin did not help anyone else. And I get the same results with my 2 different Vivi Novas, my carto tank, a dripping atty, and nothing on top. It was concluded in several of the other posts that wiring was the issue. Some people, upon replacement of the battery, took apart the old one. I am not comfortable doing any of this, so I will leave it to Joytech to resolve, or just trash it.
