Ok, here we go. If you were to pick one of the following (and yes, these are the only choices, no Provari or Buzz or any other VV. This is simply for selectable voltage) which one would you pick to be your selectable voltage PV and why:

  • EGO Twist (1000mah)
  • EVO v2
  • 3VO v2.1
  • SVR m

EVO 2.1 in chrome! 4.5 and 5 volts. Dunno what the SVR is..and the EVO nudges the twist out because it comes in chrome and isn't a sealed battery so replacement is cheaper.

SVR is just the same as the EVO and 3VO, just from different vendors.

Akston SVR

I really do like the replaceable batteries/parts deal. This is the reason I bought my e-power as well.

Checked it out, not too bad..still gotta stick with my original answer, lol! Thanks for the share, bigpman, BTW!

3VO version 2.1 every time!

Over a day's charge, performance is better than the SVR and it's solid without being bulky.

One well known issue with this APV is the 510 connector which is not sealed. Use a sealed 510/510 connector (gold connector looks nice with the chrome) to prevent leaks entering the switch assembly.

How much does my household like this APV? I have one and my husband has one- the only 3VO's in the country.

A note on the design- it is the same design as the SVR, but PBursardo's review showed that they are not the same device. The 3VO is better and cheaper than the SVR.

Love to All,

Honestly for the money and from the reviews it is hard to beat the twist. I am a diehard modder but to be able to get a sleek and small little 650 or 1000 mah ego battery with a good buck boost that holds the volt setting like it does for $30 or less is very, very hard to beat.

I am not a fan of batts that only give ya a couple settings as it seems it always to much or to little for me so to be able to dial it in and not have to have multiple batterys and chargers here and there is very nice. I have to say ego did a really good job with these and it will probably be my next purchase.

Going off past standard ego's I have good luck with longevity and going from memory (its been a while since I used one since starting modding)all my ego's that went south were from the connector seal wearing out rather than the battery just flat out going bad but if you dont mash them down like I use to do when I first started vaping you shouldnt have much issue if any.

One of these with those new small ego tanks would be pretty nice looking. You can take it out and about and not look like your walking around with a giant star trek probe.

I used to recommend Kgo kits for new vapors but its hard not to recommend a twist now. I probably would also recommend one of those add on volt meters you can buy for $15 on several sites as they are just nice to have and they do work with the twist. Always good to have one of those around to verify your volts if ya need it.

How do you know the 3VO is better than the SVR? Phil's comparison was of versions from four months ago. The only thing I know is better about the 3VO is the price.

I haven't tried any of the other options on your list, so right off the bat: I'm biased. The Twist is what you want. It's light, it's small (even with the 1000 mahs' I own) and it packs a punch. My Twist with SR Stardusts (with Casablanca Blend from BWB) have in one day become my all day vapes. Took 'em around with me all day and let me tell ya: not only do they look fantastic, they deliver a fantastic experience along with being $23.00 (I went with Health Cabin. They took five days to get to me, but I paid as much for two 1000 mah Twists, six Vision Ego V3s, and 20 mls of juice as I did for my Vector Variable Volt from VaporBeast). That's what I would suggest!

Thanks, I appreciate the input. 5 days from HealthCabin? Wow! How much was the shipping?

I pick the Twist, in fact I own one so far. It is the only one on the list that it "variable voltage", where as the others are "selectable voltage". It is a simple design that works perfect. It doesn't use "pulse width modulation", which means you get a true constant voltage. It is also just a slim as any other eGo battery. This is just my observations. I have never used the other devices, but I have watched countless reviews of them and that's why I chose the eGo Twist.
