I am new to this site, and e cigarettes in general, and can only post in this forum, so I figured why not post this problem here anyway.

I have just opened my new eGo Twist and charged the battery but when I go to use it, it doesn't work. When the battery is disconnected from the mouth piece, the light turns on when I press the button, but when the battery is connected to the mouth piece, the light flashes 5 times when I press the button, as if it needs to be recharged or something. I looked up videos and tried moving the pin a bit, but it doesn't seem to be the problem, or at least I couldn't fix it... Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

It's been quite sometime, since I have used an eGo type device. However, the positive contact pin inside the 510 may have been depressed down too far to make a solid connection.

I would agree with that, but then the battery would fire (button would light up) but wouldn't produce vapor.
The flashing light indicates there is connection, but a problem exists... I suspect the coil itself... only one solution for a bad coil. :)

we had such a high failure rate with the eGos, you can try "propping the pin" in the battery, if those other suggestions didn't fix it, they get wobbly or get pushed down and take a tiny screwdriver and do a quick lil prying upward motion a couple times around the pin. But the lights would flash like that when it wasn't making contact. Or lowing the coil in the tank (think someone suggested that)
