Hi Bryce
I have some Stardust versions Ce4's I think. they have had the same thing happen to them. it usually happened to me when I Either forgot to tip the unit so it would wet the wick or if I keep vaping past empty. or Forgot I still had my finger on the Burn button.

I am also looking for a way to clean them. ( I will be Searching the Forums here, but need to introduce and get a post count going to get in on those Sub Forums ;) )
PS I now have the ones I can change and rebuild if i want. but still looking at a way to clean the Ce4's.

For me the 2.8ohm heads work best on vv and vw set-ups. LR is more restrictive and will give
a burnt flavour faster. IME.

Dryburning every couple days is a must for good performance.
Lots of vids on utube on how to but basically....

Empty juice out, take off tip and dry fire 4-5 secs. at a time resting 5-10 secs then hitting again.
Takes 5 or 10 mins. will "smoke for a few hits then you should notice the coil glowing nice and red.
When it stops "smoking" you're done, let it cool and add juice.

If you have the type that has replaceable heads remove the polycarbonate tank
and the rubber cap also to reveal the coil/wick assy. sometimes there may be a bit of
wick laying on top of the coil, remove it then do the process, 4-5 seconds on 10 seconds off.
When it stops "smoking" the coil should be glowing red uniformly(right across it's length)
Let it cool some and re-assemble and re-fill.

Take short primer puffs with the power button pressed without inhaling to get it wicking again.
If it gets excessively hot at any time in the process let it cool some before continuing.
It's really quite easy once you've done it a few times.
Usually do mine every couple days to keep it running tip top.

Ive probably gone through six or seven stardust ce4 clearomizers, ive givven up on them and just moved to tanks and cartos. I felt like i had to let them sit for a couple minutes after every couple of drags to let the wicks soak up juice. It got annoying and I absolutely hate dry hits. Get a 3ml tank with a tank adapter fitment thingy.

Replacing the silica wick with 1mm. cotton makes them work much better. YMMV.

Excellent advise! I am looking for the mesh everyone keeps talking about that they use to replace the wicks with. Anyone know or heard of these?
