I just picked up an Ego V about a week ago as a back up while I charge my Vision Spinner, since it's a pass through battery. I noticed certain things about it that don't seem normal. like showing a fully charged battery in half the charging time, that's not fully charged and at times will show 3/4 battery bars but says fully charged after less than a minute on the charger. Also, inconsistent when it comes to the power of the hit at the same voltage. Sometimes it hits good and many times it is very weak producing little vapor even when fully, mostly or even plugged in the power seems to be missing. It also seems that it doesn't handle the same dual coil clearomizer too well all the time. I went to the place I bought it from since I have a 30 day warranty, they said they don't think anything is wrong with it, and to come back in a week if I notice a loss in battery.

Sounds like you may have a loose connection internally. In the past year, I have had 2 ego style batteries that had loose wires(poor soldering) and would work intermittently. Don't let them keep you waiting, get them to exchange.

I lifted the the center pin, and cleaned it with a q tip and rubbing alcohol and tried 4 different clearomizers, mostly same results, hits well or barely, sometimes by 2.2 ohm dual coil at 4.2-5.0 won't hit much, and my single coil with unknown ohms will produce not much more smoke at 4.0-4.2 but has a burnt taste after holding the button for 3-6 seconds. This tank came with the Ego V too and it does go up to 6 volts.
