Addressing the center contact issue I assume? I was luckier than most with mine, ordered 08/15/2011 and did not go out on me till end of Sept or early Oct some where around there (oldytymers heh) It began doing the short flashing with an atty/cart attached..adjust the center contact a little and would work for awhile, then flash short again, during last week or so. Well past the return policy period

I wonder if she would still be firing if I had the foresight to use a 510-510 shorty extender on her????

Glad to see GV is working on the failure issues, and intends to carry a more robust model (hopefully) 'cause well just loved the dang thing when it working..thought had found my ideal PT. Was going to order one to keep in the car... recommended to son and a couple friends even, luckily were no longer in stock/carried when they got around to it.

Were there other problems aside from the center contact? pcb, switch issues perhaps? My last ditch effort to revive was a 90% ISO soak (suspended just deep enough to get the switch too) and days of drying, in the hopes was maybe juice causing the problem. No luck

Hope the new ones GV is working on/looking into work out, as like I said loved the darn thing lol. Though think I will wait awhile and see how it works out in the field... before ordering, the PPICO model was not a good value for about a buck day ...

When will the new ones be turning up?

Cobbled a 5v PT together after, and running off a Tenergy dc-dcvv regulator board powered a 12v 5 amp AC-DC power brick from my PATA/SATA HD/Optical/Fan USB comp deal etc.. (before they came out with docking stations lol) since rarely vape at a full 5v, ugly as heck on the coffee table

So am hoping the new guys are what they should be.
