I don't think my laptop's USB port is providing enough power for the passthrough to work right. Would it be a bad idea to try the wall charger for my ego batteries with this? Or would that be too much?

I'm not sure what the wall charger for your ego is like but I was using a plug-in AC/usb charger last night and it worked well

FWIW the ports on my laptop work. They are USB2.0 ports but running at 1.1 if it matters.

Also, every time I switch my Bud Sapphire from my GLV2mini and the VV ego PT I have to pull out the middle connector a bit

You are right, harmonic. The blue light blinked a couple of times and wouldn't come back on while it was plugged into the wall charger, but it didn't seem to hurt it at all. I then plugged it into my desktops usb and now it's working like a charm. I definitely enjoy the higher voltage this passthrough seems to supply. I just wish the cable was a bit longer, but it sure works well. Mahalo Gotvapes!

I'm having trouble with the one I got in the mail today. The blue light flashes but it won't fire the atomizer. I've tried three or four different ones. I adjusted the center pin. My usb wall adapter says 5.0V 1000 mA output. Should this work?
Also, can you use 510 to 901 adapters on these? LR atomizers?

well just got mine in today, and i've been using it in the place of my 5v pass on a battery pack. The 4.2 hits almost as hard as the 5v (the 5v probably meters in at 4.4v or so) I like the smaller size which fits my Vision's perfectly. The 5v is an 808 style pass so in addition to being longer I have an adapter on it as well. I wish my ego batteries could be this short while still having the capacity of a 900mah. My only complaint and it's a tiny one, is that my battery pack goes into standby and when I reactivate it I will have to reset the pass to whatever I was vaping. Not an issue most times but for my specific use it is a little annoying. Also I would have liked to see no cut off, or rather a 20 second one instead of a 10sec. It isn't the manufacturers fault for not making it for my unique usage. I bought it to be in my center console, and it fits the bill with flying colors. It may end up replacing my other pass for on the go passthroughing. In any case it is exactly what I paid a great price for. I like that it comes with a case too.
