So after falling off the wagon since June, I got my Ego Variable Voltage today with Type B Tank System and started vaping again.

I stopped vaping because I got fed up with refilling, recharging and adjusting frequently.. It seemed so much easier to light up and toss it.. (I know, not good)

So I fill the Tank, and vape... WOW! Amazing flavor, perfect (for me) TH and vapor production... Until I feel the juice dripping down the battery and take a final drag to get juice in my mouth..!

I should have been more prepared when ordering but the little research I did do told me they dont ALL leak.. Stupid mistake..

Anyway, Im going to get the Silicon Caps for the Tanks tomorrow. (Luckily LOCAL PICK UP!) and try not smoking in the mean time..

So, if you have tried all three (DCC, Boge and B Type) on the ego, which one do you like best and why..

Thanks in advance..

Where did you get your eGo VV?

Only one of the three you mentioned I have tried is the Boge LR. They were pretty good with a monster hit. I am not a fan of a big TH so I prefer the SR 2.5 Smoktech cartos on my eGo.

Edit to add: I am actually using the eGo-C tank system now and I love it. I have had virtually no leaking issues (now that I have learned the nuances of the C) and you can get SR 2.4 ohm atty heads as well as LR 1.8 ohm atty heads for about $6 each.

Im not a fan of massive TH as well.. I got the VV from http://www.litecigusa.net out of Las Vegas. Its an awesome PV! Only thing I dislike right now is the leak issue with tank & atty.

What is the Ego-C and what are it's nucances? lol. Since I have the VV (3.2 to 3.7 to 4.2) I think the LR would be perfect.. $6? Where?

Now that I got the frequent battery charing issue out of the way, I am still stuck at minimizing refills..

The C is the new tank system from Joyetech. I got mine from Ovale USA in FL. It has a slightly different design with the atty head being a separate component. The atty head is very accessible for maintenance and are cheaper to replace than the T attys at about $6 a pop.

The nuances are mostly with maintenance and cleaning. I had to learn how to take the spike plate off for dry burns on the coil and cleaning the wick. I also had to adjust my vape pace since I was use to a harder draw on cartos to avoid dry hits and/or leaking issues. It has been a great PV for me and relatively fiddle free. I just fill a tank and vape away. :vapor:

I use the GotVapes new variable volt ego 1100 mah, with a 2.7 ohm Vision Extreme clearomiser tank. I also bought a short cone from them that covers up the threads (from batt to tank) to make it look aesthetically better.

Vision clearomisers are a tank & atomizer with the coil on top, in one unit. With the coil on the top, the vape is warmer. They are amazing & work for at least 2 weeks (with rinsing). No leaks, consistent vape, no fussing.

All stuff from GotVapes.

My $0.02...

I've heard good things about the silicone caps for the eGo Tanks, so since that's a local (and cheap) option, you should probably give that a whirl. However...

Several of my disciples (direct converts) use the eGo batts with EMDCCs, and they're great. Vapour production and TH rivals what I get from CE2s on my Darwin (!!). One of them concocted a Menthol/Clove mix and offered to give me a taste using her VV eGo batt and the EMDCC she was using with the mix. I know that the menthol played a huge part, but the TH from that (VV eGO was set for 4.2v) was very strong - surprising, even - I even had to stifle a cough..

It reconfirmed my approach with new converts - eGo batts, or VV eGo with EMDCCs - it's a solid place to start, and can be satisfying for a long time. My experience/perception is that the eGo batts are simple, reliable and easy to use. The EMDCCs are the same way - once you (or someone you're converting) are schooled on how to fill 'em without wasting (too) much juice - it's pretty smooth sailing. They're big enough that, unless you're chain-vaping, refilling is an infrequent exercise anyway. Bonus points - once they're filled, no leaking. At all.

If I had it all to do over again, that's the combo I'd probably still be using. It's that good.

tl;dr - ditch the tanks, EMDCCs on eGos are the way to go.

HTH..

@sammy:
I've used the new VV ego for about a week. I dont use the lowest setting (blue). But I do use all the other 3. Mainly I switch higher as the juice amount gets lower in the Vision tank, to keep the same vape.

I bought 3 of those vv batteries. 1 of them has a minor issue with the button sticks sometimes, so just re-tap it & it goes off. The others are perfect. There is no automatic shutoff on the battery (as is the case with any ego vv), so I keep a small black plastic C shaped ring around the battery's button so it doesnt go off in my pocket.

I am finding the battery lasts all day (I vape about 3-4 mLs a day).
