OK here goes. I'm using an EGO-T at 3.2V with a
Stardust vision from got vapes at 2.1-2.3 Ohm. When I first got the vision it was great for a few days, but now I have to keep the button pushed for several seconds to get a decent hit. It also turns my juice very dark and makes it thicker. I wash them out every night and rotate them a day each. I've had them about 3 weeks or so. I'm also trying a 2.5 ml Clearomizer. I don't remember what the ohms are on it. I've had them about 2 weeks and it basically does the same things. I've toyed with the idea of getting a VV passthru that goes from 3.2 to 4.2V. Will the increased voltage be too much for these tanks and clearo's. How long of life should I get with these items? Most of my juices are 50/50 mix and are slightly colored. Will those peices work better with more volts? Thanx I hope, lol

I haven't used the Stardust, but I use the Vision Stone tank with the same resistance. Certain juices do turn darker but it doesn't seem to affect the taste at all. Why it does this seems to be a mystery. Not all juice does it. It seems to be most common with sweeter juices and juices that contain vanilla.

How long your clearos last is anyones guess. Usually, you can expect a clearomizer to last 2-4 weeks or longer if used in rotation and not continually vaped. The lower the resistance and the higher the voltage you use, the shorter their lifespan will be. Darker juice also wears them out faster. Your juice doesn't sound particularly hard on them, nor does your voltage.

You should be getting more voltage out of your ego, approx 3.4-3.5V. The problem with having to keep your button pushed sounds like a result of your relatively low voltage. Or, it could be a problem with the button. I would suspect the problem is the low voltage, in combination with a gunked up coil. If your Stardust is gunked up, it won't heat up as fast. Regular washing won't remove the burned on gunk. Soaking in vodka will help. Also a soak for a couple hours in hot water with a Denture cleaning tablet works to remove gunk loosened up by the vodka.

It sounds like the passthrough you are thinking of is the eGo 3 position VV. Check the PBusardo review on this device on Youtube. Any non-regulated battery mod will give you 4.2 volts off the charger and vape most of the time above 3.7V. Unless you are particularly fond of low voltage vaping, this mod doesn't really make much sense. Under load, it will give you about 3V, 3.3V and 3.8V. A regular kGo will give you at least 3.6 volts most of the time and up to 4 volts when the battery is freshly charged.

To answer your question, a VV that only goes to 4.2V (about 3.8V under load) won't hurt a 2.1ohm coil. I use up to 5V on my 2.1ohm Vision Stone routinely with no ill effect other than, I'm sure, a reduced lifespan.

If you are interested in a VV, there are better choices than one that is limited to 4.2 volts. For a budget VV that works well and has protections to keep you from burning out your devices, you might want to look at a Lavatube. You'll need a 510/eGo adapter to use the Stardust. There may be other eGo VV's out there with a more useful range of voltages. A VV that only goes to 4.2V is, IMO, no better than a decent unregulated mod that uses a regular 3.7V battery.
