Anybody using these? Or know much about them? I threw one into my cart when I was purchasing my Joye Ego the week before last, and although they are a bit tricky to fill, I am thinking that they may very well be pretty cool. I have a ton of questions about them, though, and would love to hear what others think of them so far! Also, I am totally open to any tips or suggestions to increase the ease of use! ;)

My questions:

1.) Exactly how much juice are we supposed to be able to get into one? I have read conflicting information, and I don't use the ml means of measuring, so I am counting "drops"...I have stopped filling at about 20ish drops, for fear of overfilling.

2.) What is the average lifespan of the XL cartos? How can we tell when they are no longer useful?

3.) Is leaking a common issue, and how is this avoided?

4.) Does anyone else seem to get a little bit of juice on their lips when using the XL cartos, or is it just my imagination, since I vape Peppermint, which is pretty strong?

5.) Is there an easier way to fill them? Or is a syringe the best option? I have been filling mine drop by drop, using the battery end.

6.) Best and cheapest place to get them?

I would love to hear what others think of them and if they are growing in popularity!

Thanks in advance!! :)

This is the best answer to your questions that I can give. I use these quite frequently while at work.

1. Initial fill is 2.5ml.

2. Lifespan - depends on the type of liquid. I love cinnamon oil but it blows it up after the 4th refill on average. Other ones have lasted me 2 weeks that don't contain any oils in your ejuice.

3. Leaking occurs upon refill. So refill it very slowly about 1ml at a time. Rotate your carto while your filling it whether it's a refill or new. A full one weighs approximately 4.1 grams (don't quote me on this I have yet to weigh an empty versus full).

4. Yes, I sometimes get the juice thing going on as well. Fill, then let it sit but rotate it around every few minutes so the juice gets evenly dispursed. Look back inside the mouth piece to see if you have any juice built up.

5. Syringe is the easiest I've found.

6. Alot of vendors are the same price. I bought mine from vaporkings.

As far as popularity, I don't know. I like them. Cartos are easier for me than refilling a cartridge at work. A 3ml blunt syringe is what I use to fill mine. I've never tried it through the battery end but I'm guessing it would take you a long time to do it this way. Syringe method only takes me about a minute to fill a new one. Refills are trickier. You have to watch for the juice to escape through the battery end. When this starts to happen, I place mine on top of my juice bottle so that the extra doesn't get wasted. :vapor:

You have to use a syringe to fill them, so you'll have to measure in ml's. I fill mine with 1.8ml's the first time.

2.) What is the average lifespan of the XL cartos? How can we tell when they are no longer useful?

I'm not sure what the "average" lifespan is. Some will last through quite a few refills, some will go bad after only a couple. You can tell when they're bad because they'll smell burnt, the flavor will taste burnt, or they just stop working.

3.) Is leaking a common issue, and how is this avoided?

You have to be careful with filling them because they will leak when overfilled. You can't tell just by looking. If juice starts coming out of the threaded end, you can pull out the excess juice with your syringe.

4.) Does anyone else seem to get a little bit of juice on their lips when using the XL cartos, or is it just my imagination, since I vape Peppermint, which is pretty strong?

I haven't had any juice get into my mouth. The Mega (XL) cartos are designed to prevent that from happening.

5.) Is there an easier way to fill them? Or is a syringe the best option? I have been filling mine drop by drop, using the battery end.

Syringe is the only option that I know of. You have to pierce the fill port before you can fill them the first time.

6.) Best and cheapest place to get them?

I got mine at LiteCigUSA. I'm not sure if they have the cheapest price, but I love their service.
