EGrip Burnt taste,

For those who are thinking in buying the new EGrip from joyetech you may think it twice, The device has many issues with the coils since they are not well designed for the EGrip, the chances to get Burnt taste all the time are very high,

Burnt taste = too much power or too little ejuice flow (high vg). What power setting are you running and with what ejuice?

8W and 50/50, the Egrip case is special, there is something with the device that works bad, probably the coils are not well design, it just doesn't soak well, Even there is some improvements in the holes they have (in relation to other Joyetech coils) the material that is inside is not enough to solve the dry hits,

I don't have one but the reviews I have seen have been mostly positive. Is it possible taht you scorched the coil (the wick really) at a point where you let it run dry or used too much power?

The flavor when first putting in a new coil is great but after a day of heavy vaping, the coil taste burnt. Using Epic Juice 60/40pg at 8w. I've been going through a coil every other 2 days.

A new coil every 2 days is a lot of coils. I had this issue with PWM units like my eleaf - great little portable device to throw in my pocket and run out the door, but why are you tasting so burnt at 9 watts? PWM - Pulse Width Modulation is likely troubling you.. I believe the E-Grip is a PWM device - maybe someone can clarify. I have noticed burnt taste on low voltage settings on a lot of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) devices.

Once I switched to flat regulated mods, that issue went away. But I still have that eleaf and it still tastes burnt 5 times faster then the same tank on any flat mod I have been using.
