Thanks Everyone. :toast:

Welcome! I just order some silca wick and 32 gauge kanthal to try my hand at rebuilding my protank2 coils!

I got a spool of 100' of 28g kanthal and some cotton. I have an auto dripper set up on my RSST currently and a good coil built in my mini protank. But when i last was building my protank 2 coil, for some reason i couldnt get it to not short. Gave up for the night, probablt will go at it again tonight since i finally got my torch to work correctly.

Welcome!

Did you check - a couple few times - to see if the coil was touching the sides of the assembly?

If you haven't found that whopper Kanger rebuild thread yet, it's here. => http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/396220-kanger-protank-rebuild-33.html#post9844874

That's a link to 323 posts in, because it had to get that far before anyone posted a complete, beginning-to-end description of how to do it with no assumptions. If that one doesn't help there's a ton of info in that thread about Kanger rebuilds.
