I've been testing this piece out for a couple days. New to mechs. Lovin it. Hits great and consistent. But is NO voltage drop possible? I didn't think so by studying in these threads. But I just got a new DMM today (other one has been dead for a while and didn't need it).

I checked a fresh battery and it was 4.18V. Put it in the EHPRO put the red wire on the firing pin and the black on the body. Fired it and got 4.18!!! Did it a couple times to make sure.

Am I doing it right? Is it possible to have no voltage loss?

What are other folks findings?

Not to be blunt, but you're not doing it right.

Voltage drop is measured "under load", which means you need an atomizer on top and measure the voltage while it's firing. Unless you have a special contraption for this, I think it's nearly impossible... unless perhaps measuring at the coil? That I'm not too sure about, but I do know that you can't measure voltage drop with a mod alone. You need the "whole picture", so to say. :)

And I do believe zero voltage drop is nearly impossible. Even the Bagga (an all brass mod) has something like a 0.16 drop.

We were also surprised — maybe even shocked — at how well the EHPro EA Mod clone performed. We tested, re-tested, and tested again, and through all of it the EHPro clone performed extremely well; almost unbelievably well. It fired consistently, exhibiting no misfires and uncommonly consistent voltage output. We also experienced extremely little voltage drop with the mod: on average, it retained an almost unheard-of 99.3% of battery voltage to the atomizer, a drop of only .03 volts on a 4.2-volt battery. We weren’t quite willing to believe it at first, but this Chinese-made clone mod with what EHPro says are gold-plated brass contacts outperformed just about everything we’ve ever tested.
