I purchased mine from ECiggity in Hawaii
Valkyrie Hybrid Clone by EHPRO - Eciggity
I used the coupon: REDDDIT10 for 10% Off
I also bought a couple Sony VTC4's from them as well (with the 10% off)
I chose the free shipping option - they still sent it via USPS 2 day priority for free.
Awesome!
You can get it with or without logos. I chose NO logos. Although I don't mind the logo, I still prefer it without.
I friggin love this thing
The shape may turn some people off, but I really like it and it fits perfectly in my hand.
I have the likes to grip a mod in the middle and press the button with my middle finger or knuckle of my ring finger.
It's not a standard brushed finish, it's actually a machined finish that you can barely see and feel - so it's not smooth - more like nano ribbed finish. Which offer a tiny bit of texture and kindof a non-slip grip.
Its overall length is pretty short. Def one of the shorter 18650 mods/atty combos I have.
The button throw is very short as well - but the spring is a little stiff. It stands without firing unlocked though.
I'm sure the switch will get a little softer with use eventually. But it's not bad at all.
I've seen a few people's reviews and their difficulty with the switch.
The original Valkyrie used a spring loaded constant battery contact, which supposedly caused shorts.
So the EHpro version still uses a constant contact but utilizes a reverse threaded screw instead of a spring loaded contact for battery rattle.
Under the constant contact, there is the button contact - that is what completes the circuit.
I found that the delrin that holds the constant contact to be a little loose on arrival - make sure to tighten this all the way down - otherwise the switch may not make contact at all - or make partial contact causing an arc.
Make sure to adjust for battery rattle with the reverse threaded screw. It's a little bit of a pita but not any worse than adjusting battery rattle in many other devices. I think the original spring loaded setup sounds cool - but obviously caused problems. Oh well.
I took my switch apart (cuz I like taking .... apart), to smooth out the button - it was a little crunchy. Not bad, but I wanted it smoother. This crunchiness is because of the close tolerances and the lathe cut machining which forms tiny ridged rings - hardly noticeable but enough to cause it to rub and make scridgey scidgey noise when pressing the button. I sanded the shaft and hole then polished them. Pretty damn smooth now.
The circ-clip that holds the button/main shaft comes off pretty easily - just push it back with a small screwdriver or pick. It pops right back on too with out any issue. I just dropped in into position and used a small flathead screwdriver to push it back on and Click, good to go.
I did sand the contacts a little - the machining circles inward leaving a tiny high spot in the center of the contacts. Best to sand them down flat to ensure a large surface area of contact.
I'd say this may not be a good thing for those that don't feel confident enough to take the switch apart - but it's pretty easy.
The atomizer is great! The internal chamber is small. The AFC turns perfectly - not loose enough to move on it's own, but not tight enough to move the airflow hole position on the main body. The airflow is great! I really like slotted airholes
With the cap off, it is super easy to build on - nice big screw heads and large post holes. Great flavor and can def blow clouds.
Came in a nice black box
Next to Caravela clone with Orieco Storm-A rda (small very similar to Origen V2).
Top cap and Switch removed from main tube. Main tube is properly curved (unlike the straight tubed one for sale on FT).
Another pic with the inside of the top cap
Button disassembled
One with the lock ring off
Lazy first build: Dual 26awg 4/3 wrap on 3mm braided cotton doubled over
I've since changed that out to dual 2mm 26awg micros with cotton ball
Maybe I'll try a macro nano triceratops build next - but I don't think it will fit in such a small chamber.
Group shot to give you an idea of it's size - the curved shape makes it look a little bigger than it is.
It's not tiny, but as I stated, it's still one of the smaller combos.
