Is there a sticky somewhere covering the basics of ejuice?
I ordered some BWB and thought it tasted funny. Was told I need to let it age for a week.
Is this true of all fresh juice or are there some you can vape right away?
Storage tips, long term storage?
I looked here:

but there are no stickies.

Most juices taste better once they've had time to age, but some seem to be all right sooner. I have found BWB's waffle to taste good right out of the mailbox. In my opinion most "breadlike" flavors are this way. Anything fruity seems to have a bit of a perfumy taste in the beginning so it is best to let the sit for a while. Most of the posts I've read have said to let them sit a week or two. There are some flavors out there that never seem to get any better though. Since tastes are so subjective, so it's really difficult to give advice on this subject. Other juices that I've enjoyed straight from the mail is tasty vapors caramel popcorn.

As far as storage is concerned, I keep my juices in plastic boxes I purchased from Office Depot. I have two sizes, one for samples and one for larger bottles. I have two others that I use for supplies like cartomizers. This has worked out well for me. Others use tackle boxes or craft boxes. I've heard of some folks who store their juices in the refrigerator, but I really don't see the purpose of that.

Thank you.

Update:
That's all DIY.
I'm looking for tips on premixed stuff.
Do you have to age all of it? Does the pv/vg ratio make any difference in terms of how long you let it age?
I'm expecting a lot of juice samples to arrive this week and will be disappointed if I can't vape any of them straight away.
Hubby will be mad if I buy another pack of analogs.

You definitely do not need to purchase more analogs! :)
You can vape most juices straight away. You also don't know how long they have been sitting before yu get them, so just try it out. If you don't like the flavor, sit them aside and try again them in a couple of weeks. The flavor may change a little.
VG tends to mute the flavors somewhat, but juice suppliers know this and mix accordingly.
Good luck on all your new juices, sounds exciting!

I'm ready to refill myself because I'm using too many carts, like 2 a day. But I'm beyond overwhelmed with all the vendors out there. So far I've tried regular (sweet tobacco), coffee and menthol. I prefer the latter. I'll eventually experiment with other flavors but I need to know where to buy a good juice with the minimum amount of artificial stuff.
I understand the ones made in USA are safer, but does anyone know who makes the 'purest'?

Some juices, especially ones with freshly combined flavors, may actually need steeping due to perfumey odor. For many, uncapping and removing the popper top for several hours is enough. Some just improve over time but are fine to start. Some juices are fine the minute you get them. Some people think almost everything they get needs steeping. I rarely get a juice that I feel requires steeping. I guess it depends on how picky you are and on how near its perfection you want a juice to be. I have never steeped anything. I had one with a flowery smell (one with a creamy flavor in it) and that flowery smell went away after some number of times of opening the bottle to drip some.

Storage - away from heat. If you want something to last really long (like a bottle of nic concentrate), then maybe in the fridge or other cool dark place.

Purest - no idea. Many state what they are using.

BTW if you buy juices that are a mix of PG/VG you can pretty safely assume you are avoiding the Chinese juices. I just don't buy any juices only offered as 100% PG unless I actually want the Chinese juice, and then I buy Dekang branded bottles.

The Asian juice is mostly all 100% PG and occasionally 100% VG is offered in some of the flavors. It may be called Dekang, it may be called Chinese, it may not say. Buy PG/VG blends and you be getting US juices. By now I recognize the flavor names enough to even know which company's flavoring they are using.

Thanks! So what's pg vg? My phone won't let me see the underlined definitions!!

Chances are you have already learned some of these tips through experience, but some may surprise you. This is a list compiled from experience and opinion aimed at helping anyone get along with their juice.
1. Let your juice "steep" for at least 3 to 10 days.

Steeping is one of those things you may be skeptical about, but in my experience it actually does work for a lot of juices. You will notice on some juices that after a few days the color will darken, and it often times seems to marry flavors together producing a better tasting juice. Something probably has to do with the nicotine oxidizing, but other than that we don't know why this phenomenon happens. If your juice tastes weird right off the bat, give it some time to change, chances are, it will.

2. Shake your bottle of juice up every once and a while

This will ensure that you are getting all the flavors evenly at all times.

3. Buy pure VG or PG with nicotine to cut your liquids

Something that I do quite often is cut my liquids with pure VG with nicotine in it to make strong flavored juices last longer. The VG always adds a little boost to the vapor as well. If your PG or VG has a lower amount of nicotine in it you can add it to cut down the nicotine strength as well if the juice is too harsh.

4. If you need more throat hit....

Try adding pure grain alcohol like everclear, this is something that is known to provide additional throat hit. Start by adding just a drop or two and move up from there, you don't want to over-do it though! Cinnamon and menthol flavored juices are also known to give more throat hit. More nicotine also increases the throat hit. PG is also said to give more throat hit than VG.

5. Dark juice is thought to gum up your atomizer more than a light or clear colored juice

If you use a lot of dark juice, you may be gumming up your atomizers pretty quickly, make sure to clean out your atomizers regularly if the draw or taste changes.

6. Juices from different vendors come in different viscosities

VG is thicker and PG is thinner, but some companies make their VG runny by adding distilled water. VG makes more vapor but the flavor is not as prominent, PG makes less vapor but tends to hold more flavor. Experiment with different ratios to find your happy place.

7. Some people say to store your juice in a dark place

It makes sense, right? A lot of liquid solutions are stored in dark places because light can cause problems, if anything this could change the flavor of the juice and is more of a "Better safe than sorry".

8. Experiment by buying sampler packs from as many vendors as possible

This will not only tell you who makes juice you like, it will help you quickly figure out what flavors you tend to love.

9. Avoid juices with diacetyl

This is commonly found in "buttery" flavorings and is known to cause lung damage when inhaled.

10. Certain flavors stay in your atomizer for a long time

These may include cinnamon, fruit flavors, cola, and some menthols. If you notice these flavors carrying over, you can wait it out or you can clean your atomizer.

11. Don't be afraid of experimenting with flavors

You will be surprised at what actually tastes good sometimes. I have found that more often than not, flavors I was not too eager to try ended up being a favorite.

12. Try not to flood your atomizer or overfill your cartridges

This typically results in leaking and also barely any vapor. It may cause you to think that your atomizer is not performing well, but thats not the case. You can remove excess juice by removing your cartridge and holding your e-cig by the battery, flick it towards the ground to throw the juice out.

13. Nasty burnt taste when you are vaping?

You are probably letting the atomizer get too dry. Its not the juice, its the atomizer, and it needs to be cleaned. If cleaning does not help, remove the wick inside with a pair of tweezers. Dont worry, removing the wick does not make a huge difference in performance, especially if you like to drip.

14. Have a variety of flavors on hand

Chances are if you vape something for a while you will get sick of it, keep rotating, like fresh underwear.

15. Dont let your juice anywhere near children or pets, the stuff smells good and even a fraction of a bottle with nicotine is enough to cause OD.

You can taste all of the juices you receive when you like, why wait? I have found that my tastes and/or the juices change very quickly. When I first try a juice I can pick out the various taste components of the flavorings, after a few days I can not. Sometimes I really like the first tasting but don't care for the juice after it has set for a few days. Steeping is not always a good thing in my opinion.

If you don't care for the initial taste set the juice aside for awhile, maybe steeping will help, sometimes it only makes things worse. I also find that the temperature of the juice can be a factor in the taste. If you keep them in the refrigerator they taste different throughout their rise to room temperature. Some tobacco juices are very good straight from the fridge.

I am just saying that you will develop your own procedure that works for you, don't adopt someone else's rituals without experimenting to find the best for you.

Good luck to you.
