ejuice coloring stains

My translucent white silicone plugs are slowly turning to a strange pink color...same shade as my strawberry cheesecake ejuice.

I am worried about this coloring entering my lungs. I'm actually so concerned that i'm thinking of throwing out the ejuice that has this pink/red color. Can anyone help shed some light on this matter please? thanks

No, sorry, no one can shed any light on this because we just don't know. We are lab rats and you should use your best judgement. We do not know if any of this is safe, we just tend to believe that it is safer than smoking. You can lower nicotine, use fewer or no flavors, switch between PG and VG, pick your cart filler or drip... We really don't know. Like I said, use your best judgement.

I think it is pretty obvious that yes.. the coloring is getting into your lungs. So is the PG or VG.. and the nicotine.. and any other additive to your e-liquid.

As a quick test, take an inhale off of your PV and then exhale through a handkerchief. What you see is what you get.

And of course, if you inhale red stuff, and it doesn't come out....

Most of us eat stuff with food colouring in it every day. And we inhale air pollution poisons in the air as well. I wouldn't obsess about a little food colouring, but if there's a study done and it's shown to be hazardous I would be inclined to re-think that.

my advice is to simply stay away from extra dark liquids and stick to ones that are a bit translucent, those rubber caps sit directly exposed to the coloring and stain, i don't think so much red is vaporized at once, but like someone else said - not so much in study has been done
