I think it's mostly nothing about drip tips, too many juice absorbed in the cotton and you may draw too quick or "powerful" before the juice get vaporized, increase the output of your battery, and every time you wanna vape when leaving the device idle for long time(and the coil is saturated with juice), fire around 3 secs before you draw.

Quick question, do you ever go above 6 volts on anything besides claptons? Im using the RX200 and the Sigeli 150 watt with Sony VTC4s and also the LG HE4s in the RX200.

There are lots of variables in equipment as well as vape technique but these are sweet spot values that have worked for me with my coils and equipments and might be within a couple of watts of what may work for someone else. Or at least make a comparison or starting off point ...

0.3 ohms ... 50 watts (but I have a juice that likes 49.8 watts)
0.5 ohms (my current favorite resistance) ... 42 watts and little to no juice on my lips. SWEET
1.0 ohms ... currently 28.5 watts but this one is hard to pin down for me
1.2 ohms ... 16.1 watts
1.8 ohms (Clapton) ... 13.6 watts or sometimes much lower

oh, and when I next venture off into TC 0.15 nickel land ... I'm going to try 440*F @ 25 watts

My guess is your maybe not letting your coil ramp up before taking a vape and pulling juice up the chimney. I slowly blow down to get the coil vaporizing and see a good plume of vape come out the airholes before I take my vape then continue after the power is off for another second or two to cool the coil down some to avoid 1/2 burnt juice on the coil. I've tried the other driptips on my subtanks and TFV4's and you can't get enough air up the narrow driptip not to begin to get a burnt taste thus back to the problem of pulling juice up the chimney from pulling like hell so I use the stock tips that came with my attys and have no problems.
