EkoWool vs XS-18, what's the difference?

They seem to be very similar materials, but the pricing is a lot different, even if you consider buying the XS directly from Omega.

Both appear to be a standard braided silica sleeve. Is there a difference? Should I just be buying EkoWool as a cheaper alternative to padding the top of my rope wicks?

Thanks in advance for any input by users who've used both.

I can't answer your question because I have neither but I heard great thing about both and I plan on trying both as soon as I can put my hands on them.
