Speaking of...I got my V2 button today! Tomorrow it'll undergo the pocket test.

Pocket test results...?
If you unscrew the Schafer switch 1/4 turn it will not fire.. So it would be pocket friendly.. I don't know if the SuperT flat switch had this same characteristic?

Pocket test results...?
Fine. No unintended firing.

I'm using a heavy duty spring, will switch to a regular duty today. I think I'll like it better.

The other test I want to perform and compare to the stock button's performance has to wait a little bit. I built an insane quad-coil somethingornuther and want to see how the various buttons deal with insanity. The ohms are so low I don't have an ohm meter capable of reading it; I'd kinda like to know first. ;) A capable meter might be arriving today.

Sounds dangerous...... 0.01 ohms ?
I don't know, my ecdmeter craps out at .4. It does seem fairly dangerous, the couple times I fired it (before putting it down out of caution) it got searing hot almost instantly. Not good.

But I just want to see if the ELA has any physical limitations because you know somebody will want to know and I like to know stuff.

I do like the standard spring better than the heavy duty. The switch is buttery now as per David's description.

My ohm meter arrived and my rig tested at an acceptable (?) .249 ohms.

Aside from the fact that I really don't enjoy it, the ELA is performing great with the flat button and light spring. No arcs, zaps, buzzes. The ELA gets warm, transmitting heat from the 454, but the VTC5 remains cool. I'll switch around the button configurations periodically.
Wait, I just had a button buzz. Very short. Still don't know what that signifies.

Anyway, here's my setup.
