Hello folks and welcome back for another vape review, today's review comes to me from eleaf who holds a special place in my heart because it was a ELEAF device that helped me quit smoking cigarettes many years ago and is still operational today. A lot has changed in the vaping industry since then and ELEAF still remains a vaping original in it. Today I will be reviewing a very compact tiny Kit that houses a 1500mAh internal battery and has a maximum wattage output of 40 watts called the iSOLO AIR 2. Prior to my review of the iSOLO AIR 2 Kit lets see what this Kit is all about and check out some information on it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Packaging is very simple just like the device was meant to be with a opened cover box inside a outer sleeve. The first thing and only thing you see is the beautiful leather covered device with the GTL Mini Pod already installed and in place. Under the device is the charging cable, user manual, warranty card and a GTL 0.8Ω and GTL 1.2Ω mesh coil made of kanthal wire. Compact and tiny while being attractive was my first impression, this is no featherweight as it feels solidly built with just enough heft excluding it from a shirt pocket device.

The GTL Mini Pod attaches using 3 magnets that hold it in place just fine, coils slide into the body chimney of the pod through the bottom with no flat spots needed to be lined up, it's a simple push and pull installation. You can see there is no bottom fill plug on the Pod.

There is no bottom fill plug because the GTL Mini Pod uses a top fill with a rubber plug, it's nice to not have to remove the pod and flip over to fill. The plug has a tiny droplet marking on it showing where to lift up when time to fill and can be rotated out of the way, the fill port is of nice size.

Included with this kit are the GTL 0.8Ω and GTL 1.2Ω mesh coils that are somewhat black in color. The 0.8Ω coil on the left has a much more spread of mesh netting while the 1.2Ω coil is more dense.

One very nice feature on the iSOLO AIR 2 device is that it has fully adjustable airflow and can be closed down for a tight MTL vape or opened fully for a loose MTL and you can even use it for a RDL vape. There is a series of 3 holes of equal size and a slot on each side of the device.

Airflow is controlled with a lever that is located in the center top portion of the device between both airflow inlets and right above the beautiful Gray and Black colored leather spine. This is a fairly quiet airflow in any position even fully opened up.

Turning our attention to the bottom of the device you can see 3 venting holes for the 1500mAh internal battery, the device sits nice and flat with no wobble happening.

Having no menu and being a wattage only device really simplifies things, there are basically only 2 button combinations to do with only 2 functions of locking the adjustment buttons and clearing the puff counter. The display is Black and White and has all the information laid out with easy to read fonts.

I really like the italicized font writing done on both sides of the mod for a different look instead of the regular block lettering, on one side ELEAF is written and the other side iSOLO AIR 2 is written. The type c charge port is in a perfect bottom location being able to keep the mod upright .

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


I will say that the iSOLO AIR 2 Kit exceeded my expectations of it with pretty good flavor from both coils, my preference being the 0.8Ω. What really surprised me was just how well it vapes with a nice smooth airflow at any setting I chose to put it at.

I expected it to be a MTL vape but didn't know it had as well of a range of tight to loose that it does' heck you can even get a RDL vape from it fully open. Having a smart chipset that remembers your previous setting is a great feature as well.

Appearance is gorgeous with the two-toned leather colors of Grey and Black contrasting against a all gunmetal matt finish of the body as well as the buttons.

I'm very pleased with it's performance and the size or should I say lack of size, this tiny compact kit was a treat testing and putting it through the paces.

I was able to quit smoking cigarettes using the I STICK 20 and the the ISTICK 30, the Pico is such a great device also.

I have to thank the Pico Mod with the Nautilus Tank, because I quit smoking thanks to this Eleaf / Aspire combination, this was my first kit. I still own it and it works!
