I am having the same issue with my istick 30 watt. I just bought the battery, not the whole kit. Trying to use a non- eleaf adapter would short out my atomizer. Make sure you use the actual ego adapter that came with the kit. There are pics on a post that I made yesterday that cleary shows the difference between the eleaf adapters and aftermarket adapters. Feel free to check them out for comparison

I am using the istick 30 with a kanger sub ohm tank. I have the same problem,"no atomizer" warning.
As much as I love the istick mini 30 watts, it is not reliable.
They have to make them fully functional with all tanks.
