I'm out on the istick line period. There will never be another one in my house. As far as TC I sold my two and will be waiting to see the next phase. Too much head room for technology advancements and don't want to own a mod that will be obsolete in a few months. We're sticking to the VS DNA30 wife and Sig. 150w me until advancements stabilize.

Not sure how much I would trust Eleaf to make a temperature control mod when their 50W has developed quite a reputation for setting things including itself on fire.

Maybe that's what the temperature control is for, to keep the mod from bursting into flames. I wonder how well temperature control works on a mod that is stuck in autofire.

Imo the yihi chips work great and I will use my ipv4 till it's dead and there's no simple fix. I highly doubt I'll ever need more power.

If you like the way it vapes and it works for you who's to say it's obsolete? Just as I'm still playing my xbox 360.

However, like you, I'll never purchase another IStick product. Spent $90 on two isticks 4 months ago and I doubt they'll live to see Fall.

I know that there is a lot of Eleaf hate out there, but I absolutely love my 50 - not one single hiccup in the 5 months I've been daily driving it.
If the 40WTC has both Ti and Ni modes and priced cheap enough, I will brave the torches and pitchforks and give it a shot.

I have to agree with the above, My 50w and 30w have been flawless and love them to bits. I'd go for a 40w TC iStick too

interesting. It shows Ni explicitly on one of the screen - I bet it does Ti also!!

Edit: Here's the specs, which don't mention Ti but again mention Ni. So not confirmed yet..

Where does it say Ti?

Oh.. yeah it doesn't. Doh, I misread TC as Ti in this! :

TC-Ni/regular VW mode

OK well that's odd. I'd be surprised if it doesn't support Titanium, based on Steve's observation on the screen and also the above spec item which both say Ni - why say Ni unless there's another mode? Plus the fact that it's a new TC mod and Titanium is the New Big Thing.

I suppose it's possible they differentiate Ni exactly because so many mods now do Ti and theirs doesn't. But it's so easy to add a Ti mode they'd be daft not to. It's easier to do TC for Ti than it is for Ni, because Ti can be treated as completely linear and that's accurate enough - for completely accurate Ni you need to implement the curve (though it's still good enough even with a flat TCR)

Mine's over 2 months old and I haven't had a single problem with mine. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Love my istick 50w!
