So on my new Woodville I've noticed a problem that I've not experienced with my regular Reo. There is eliquid coming from somewhere on the bottle & it's getting inside the bottle/battery compartment. There's no pool of eliquid but I can see where the wood is discolored inside where eliquid has soaked in and it goes from the bottom of the inside all the way up to just above the bottle cap (the hole where the tube goes into the bottle cap). I've also noticed it at the bottom behind where the spring is for the battery.

What can/should I do about this because I don't know where it's coming from. If it were from eliquid getting out of the bottle where it screws into the lid then there would only be discoloration on the wood where it's up against that part of the bottle. But it's higher up like where the tube enters the lid.

I'm worried that it's going to mess up the switch &/or cause a problem with the battery AND I just don't want eliquid leaking inside that area & messing up my mod.

So, what should I do. Thanks.

Try to slip the tubing up further on the little tube. It might have been pulled down when you removed the bottle/cap.

Inspect the tubing for any split or crack. Unlikely that it would happen with a REO this new but make sure it is sound.

Put some water in the bottle, take off your RBA/Atty. Hold the REO over the sink and squeeze the bottle. Look for any drops coming out the cap or tubing.

Juice spilling or leaking is one reason I make sure to coat the inside of my wood REO's with Howard's Wax. It will offer protection and with the oils present it soaks into the wood and lessens the chance at juice penetrating.

Thanks.

I will test the tubing/bottle as you suggested. I also didn't think the tubing should have a hole yet but it could be possible I guess. It is pushed up all the way to the top so that's not a problem. And I do clean the threads out of the bottle when I refill so that shouldn't be an issue either. It's a bit weird though as my other Reo doesn't have this problem & when I have seen eliquid I've known exactly where it was coming from & it was always because I didn't clear out the threading on the bottle, so I've been more vigilant about that with the wood one since it's wood.

A bad cap o-ring can be a leak possibility. You can reset it or replace it or nolonger have to deal with it anymore by change it from the screw on cap to the (moded) pop on cap. On the left is the cap and o-ring the REO comes with and right is the pop on cap with out a o-ring you can easily make.

I am only seeing the image of the stock assembly.

Look closely at the tube. The cap on the left side of the tube is how it comes, the piece at the right is a modded dripper top from the same bottle. You cut the top of the dripper top just enough to get the tube in and remove the screw on cap that comes stock. Then you pop the dripper top on the bottle and attach the tube like it was originally.

Yeah, maybe I should not have not shown the pic with both types on the tube. I didn't think it would be confusing just want to see the difference. If all my toys and stuff weren't locked I'd have both as separate examples. :( My Lava juice swelled o-rings constantly and shoving them back in the cap was impossible so it was easier to either buy a new setup or cheaper and faster to mod one and never worry about it ever again.

Sorry for the threadjack, I hope the OP got this issue resolved.
I however am having the same issue on a Reo Grand. Juice seeping through from under the switch, above the battery and behind the delrin insert. I did the bottle mod and tested it with water, so thats not the source of the leak.

I've re-attached the tube with some super glue and it subsided for a few days and has returned again.
HELP!

Same prob here... I guess is the central pin gasket broken when I rebuilt last time. I am waiting SO kits to rebuild , taking care of gaskets when tightning the pin!

In your case it seems it is leaking were the silicone meets the brass tube - nipple . To do it properly the tube has to be clean and dry and if its stretched out you can cut a it back or use a new feed tube

I have the leaking issue on my 2.0. Thought it was the old feed tube at first so I put a new tube on. It seemed to fix it for a day or so then I started getting juice again. It was actually leaking the whole time, its just such a slow leak that the delrin insert was holding the juice and took that long for it to drain into the mod. I took it all apart and inspected it and noticed that the gasket in the 510 is messed up. I am now waiting on my upgrade/rebuild kit. Hopefully it will be good as new again soon ;)

Thx Rob. Just took it apart and will clean it out, let it dry and try that, or maybe flipping the tube and using the other side.
