I am going to a local b/m store I want to by eliquid for the first other than from my normal supplier. Is there a standard for pg/vg mixture say like 50/50 , I know every body makes different mixtures and I know more VG will diminish the life of my clearomizer. I am new to vaping so I hope I am asking this correctly. Or should I get a higher pg than VG or all pg?

Everybody's different. I like 50/50 and that's what I DIY, although over time the VG percentage keeps nudging up. Some like pure PG (I'm tolerant of it) some like pure VG (I'm tolerant of it).

Regardless, I've never heard or experienced that higher VG has any relationship to killing the clearto. 100% VG might require a drop or two of distilled water to thin it a bit and avoid burned hits, but that's about the only consideration.

The standard varies based on the site. I see 50/50 a lot on online sites as the "default" so to say. In B&Ms I see 70/30 most of the time.

I vape a little bit of everything. I wouldn't recommend 100% PG or VG starting out as you might not like that. 50/50, 65/35 (or 60/40), and 70/30 are pretty safe bets if you don't know what you like.

It's all in the user's preference unless they are sensitive to PG or VG. PG provides some of the throat hit and it carries flavors better. VG is smoother, sweeter and makes bigger clouds. I DIY my own liquids and found my preference is about 70PG/30VG. I tried 50/50 just because it's easier to measure but it took out too much of the throat hit @ 10mg/ml nicotine so I had to remix those flavors.
