Eliquid - not a happy ending.... Yet

Being a Menthol smoker for the past million years I assumed I would like to find a juice in the Menthol family.

After trying a few from two online venders and a couple more from my local B&M (all 18mg) - I think they all kinda suck. Not one tasted like my old RYO Analog mentho tobacco and menthol tubes. a few were horrible and a few tasted more like a lime or a lemon.

I understand the taste buds are a changin' and the steeping stuff so I will hang on to these for a while and try again.

I have found 2 flavors that I bought on a whim which are fruit - Blueberry and Raspberry. I can vape these without wanting to have an analog so I believe I will be ok for the short term.

Is this normal? Are the menthols really that bad or have I simply not sampled enough brands?

Anyway, I appreciate all of you great folks here and all of the wisdom I have pick up in my short stink as a member.

Try a Halo menthol sample tin. If you don't like one of their menthols, you probably won't like any.

you do need to remember that vaping is NOT smoking and you will not find an exact duplicate flavor to what your cigs were.

It's just a matter of getting your tastebuds retrained to a new flavor (my favorite comparison is switching from regular coke to diet coke - if you never have another regular coke you will think the diet coke is the correct flavor - healthy hurts, no pain no gain, lets win one for the vaper, wait, oh, close enough)

Like smoking, it can become an acquired taste.

Your tastes will change rapidly. Started off loving apple but now not so much. You know what? You might like cola flavor, it has kind of a menthol like effect. I'm into that now and I don't even drink soda.

Don't buy volume liquids at first. You'll get into your grove when your sense of taste is fully restored. Also some foods will start to taste different which can be good or bad.

And boy oh boy how glad I am of that. Last drag I took off of a cigarette a few months ago (just to see if they still tasted terrible ) instantly reminded me of why I gave those nasty things up and took up vaping.

I could have written this post. I've never liked regular cigs. I was a menthol smoker for many years. So when I started vaping, I went to menthol.

But, like you, I didn't find one I really liked. Halo is good. But I like the fruit/dessert flavors. Mint/menthol is OK sometimes. But I branched out a lot on flavors.

Try Mountain Oak Vapor - strawberry breeze. Or Fuzion's poison apple, unicorn blood, or nice Melons.

Yup. Add me to the non-tobacco seeking vaper list. It's just not a priority, once I found out how good vaping strawberries and cream is, or carmel popcorn, or Kringle's Curse (peppermint).

lol I'd have to say it's normal for most to vape fruity flavors it seems to be more what our taste is used to and well, heck it's just so tasty

Now I was never a menthol smoker but have tried a few...most "menthol" vapes taste more minty than menthol....
One that I have tried that I'd say is probably the closest to menthol I've come across so far would be Extreme Ice by MtBakerVapor

there are a few flavored vapes out there with menthol in them that are good if you want a fruity menthol
Hawk Sauce from MtBakerVapor kind of a sour menthol skittles
Solar Flare by MtBakerVapor, This is an Orangish/Peach fruity blend infused with menthol

just wait until you get into diy then the *real* fun begins and it's a real downward spiral lmfao....
I'd be willing to bet no one has just one flavor they vape all the time...I started my journey to vaping to find a Clove flavor...pft no luck with that...came close with a diy but gave up and moved on to other things...I got lucky and someone was quiting vaping and I bought a big box of juice from them that til yet I haven't tried much of....quite happy atm with the handful I've tried and a handful of diy I've been mixing with those said flavors
