EM crystal question

Hello All,
Im a DIY noob and have been starting out with basic tobacco recipes with no additives.Iwould like to experiment with EM.My supplier sent the crystals instead of the PG mix and all I have on hand is VG and a PG/VG nic mix (75-25-18mg).I understand it will be rather difficult to get the EM to dissolve into the VG.Since the nic mix is my base can I just dissolve it in that?Also is the rate 1/4 tsp. to 10ML?

hi teejuice. You are correct the ratio is 1/4 tsp to 10 ml. I don't know how difficult it would be to dissolve the crystals in VG. What you might do, and I suggest this reluctantly, is heat 10 ml of vg in the microwave for 7 (SEVEN) seconds. NO MORE! It will continue to get hot after the timer goes off so have an oven mitt or towel to use. When you have removed it from the microwave mix in the 1/4 tsp and shake it (USE A TOWEL OR GLOVE). It "might" dissolve as heating the vg makes it thinner too.

If you mix it in the nic solution you'll throw off all calculations in a recipe. I would not recommend using it in a nic.

The best option is to go buy some pg, or wait for it from an online order.

Dont get hurt, the vg in the microwave will be HOT, VERY HOT!!!!!!!

I'll generally mix EM crystals 1ml crystal to 9ml PG and add that to my mix at .05. It's not really a sweetener it's used more for adding body and thickness to a mix. Over doing this will actually mute flavor. If it's sweetness your looking for use sucralose but again go easy on it. I typically use .5% but recommend no more then 1%.
