This may sound like a strange question, but for those of you who live in natural disaster-prone areas (tornado, earthquake, hurricane, etc.) and keep an emergency kit, do you stock it with any vape supplies? If so, what and how much?

I live in a hurricane zone (NC). If you have no generator or a way to charge batteries then I would suggest you have more batteries in your inventory and make sure you keep them charged up. And if you get pegged by a tornado I'm guessing you wont much care about your vape supplies.

I make sure and keep all my batteries charged. With several of my devices taking all different 1800 sizes of batteries I have managed to accumulate enough to keep me vaping a week or more without the need to recharge. I also bought the same charger mentioned above so I can recharge via my car if need be. I usually order my juice in 30 day supplies. I also have several 100 mls of juices I have ordered and didn't like that I could use in an emergency if I had to. I have enough wire and cotton on hand to last a couple years.
I wish someone would create a basic ecig mod that you could use like the er flashlights and radios. The ones that you can wind up for a couple minutes and get 15 or so minutes of use time.
I am happy to see I am not the only one who is concerned about vaping during an emergency.

The odd hurricane means you might need to use your car as a charger and in the past gasoline has been tough to buy, so i bought a little solar powered battery charger for my vape gear. Keeping enough batteries charged for maybe 2 weeks until power is restored is the only thing i bother about.

I have enough liquid and coils anyway.

My hurricane preparedness consists of living in PA. Same for earthquakes. I live in town so the electricity gets fixed fast after a storm. I don't live near a flooding creek or river. Of course there is always the cooking fire that will take the entire house but if you don't think of it it will never happen and besides I can walk to the vape store.

Pre hurricane I charge everything and make sure I have everything recoiled/rewicked and a large supply of juice. I have a solar panel USB charger that I picked up off amazon to recharge things if I need to but it is SLOW so best to get things precharged. That charger will do all the cell phones and iPads as well as ecigs that have USB chargers.

One of the reasons I picked up a couple of EGO-T 18650s is they will charge the 18650 you put in them via a ego usb charger which lets me charge up the big batteries in a pinch. It is however very slow.

All my tanks get refilled so I do not have to mess with that later. I also have about a dozen extra bottles for the REOs which I prefill.

I have a bunch of extra 18650 battery boxes. All batteries are boxed as soon as charged. Each battery box will hold 2 extra REO bottles or 2 filled EVOD clearos so I make sure to box those.

PVs get put in individual Ziplock bags. Juice bottles get put in individual Ziplock bags. Extra heads and cartos get put in ZIplock bags. Then everything gets put in a large tupperware box with a carrying handle. I now have a grab and go vape box that likely will go in the car before my purse. LOL

EDIT: My husband also has a gadget that will jump the car battery/air up tires that has 2 USB ports and a regular plug on it to charge things off of.

Ha! We recently moved to southern IL from northeastern PA. While we were immune (mostly) from tornados, earthquakes and the like it's the experience of living through a new 'historic catastrophic OMG We're All Gonna Die' flood every couple years that got me in the habit of actually being prepared for stuff. Lol

So I turned on the tv and they're tracking tornado warnings. Not in my neck of the woods, but it reminded me I never stuck a bag with the basics in the closet under the stairs since we moved in. In the Old Days I'd have made sure I had extra matches/lighters in a waterproof baggie and if the weather looked grim pick up a few extra packs 'just in case'. After Irene/Lee local stores closed with no water/power or ran out of everything useful within a day.

But...I don't smoke anymore!

Just got me thinking.

I have a generator and we are considering some solar backup with a few battery banks to hold out through the nights or low sun days. Other than that I buy a battery every time I go into my local B&M, I don't buy much else from them anymore so the batteries give me reason to visit and shoot the breeze. Plus I like helping new folks set up their rebuildables.

I love the solar backup idea. But not the price tag on the ones that actually get good reviews. :(

One of these days...it would be useful for more than ecigs!

I live in OZ (Tornado Alley) but my biggest concern has been winter blizzards and ice storms. When we have a warning, I just top off my battery charges. My batteries will last me and the mrs 7+ days (even longer if she leaves me). After that, I can charge from the car (assuming she didn't take the car). I always have plenty of juice (2 years of unflavored on hand) plus wick and wire.

People who live off-grid have this figured. They include remote dwellers, RV owners, and liveaboard boaters. Also remote workers like oil rig crew, ship crew need to plan ahead.

Basically stock up on diesel as it keeps for ever, unlike gas/petrol. Base everything on 12 volt and have multiple, separate, isolated battery banks. Don't bother with AC generators, a small 12 volt DC genny beats everything, it runs 1 litre fuel an hour, and if you get the right one it needs 10x less servicing than an AC genny. You must have an alternator controller because 12 volt is only a nominal term, the voltage actually needed for a power system is 14.4 volts but a car alternator only outputs 13.2 volts without a controller. Turn 12v DC into AC with an inverter - have several.

There are many types of 12 volt DC renewable energy generators, solar panels and wind turbines are two, some days you won't need the genny. Get marine equipment as it is the most rugged. Keep at least 3 spare 4.2 volt lithium cell chargers as they are the weak link in the system. Keep one freezer dragged right down as low as you can get it (a freezer that can't get down to -22 C isn't much use), and have it built in with 6" thickness of foam around it apart from the air channel to the compressor. It will stay frozen for days even if you lose power. Keep a few litres of nic in there. With a couple mechmods, RBAs and wire you're set for a 20-year blockade or the zombie apocalypse.

I have enough mods and batteries that I could probably vape for a week without a recharge.

That being said, I've got plenty of supplies available, and my charger has a 12V plug. ;)

That sounds useful. Most mods look like either sci fi weapons or bizarre sex toys to me and I have no desire to rebuild, but the idea of having all those extra charged batteries and knowing how if really needed is appealing. Might need to do some more window...monitor...shopping. :p

Lol! :p

We had one ice storm that left us without power for two weeks. I keep enough batteries in my rotation to last a little more than that. I also have more than enough juice and other supplies on hand to last much longer than that.

Yeah, I've heard horror stories about the ice storms here. We're on the edge of a fairly large town with a school and small hospital up the road, so hopefully this area would get priority. I've been 2 weeks without power before after some of the floods, and the last one was more than 3 without water. Yuck. But it's easier to do without power in warm weather.
