Dry cotton can do that.. its the only time I have seen an atty turn into a lighter.

What is it? More information would be helpful. Appears to be an rda on fire? Wick burning? Without more info, I would say whatever you did, don't do that again!

It's .4 ohm 28 Guage Kanthal with silica wick on a H cigar Kylin.

From the info provided I'd have to say it was something you did.

The silica wick didn't burn at all.

And the juice is Vanda 100% VG From Johnson Creek.

Looks like a hotspot on your coil, you fired er up, and the hot spot got hot enough to flash the liquid.

Happened to me a couple of times trying to use mesh in my aga t2 on a vamo, but with 0.4 ohm 28ga kanthal, it wouldn't need to be shorted, there's a lot of current flow through a coil that low.

Hmm. Silica doesn't burn. Fire is bad. Still going with "dont do that again." I would try rebuilding whatever the device is at maybe 1.5 ohms or so until fire becomes a really infrequent occurrence.

This happens occasionally to me. It's nothing to freak out about. All it is is residual juice on your RDA igniting probably because you have a 0.4 ohm coil- that's hot. Like I said just blow it out. I am also assuming that you weren't using it when the flame popped up- like the top cap was off right? Don't worry it's not gonna blow up in your face or anything. I think I remember you saying you bought 30 amp batteries the other day so you should be good.

I switched to cotton wick and no fire, no hot spots, and awesome clouds!
