Link didn't work but I'm coming from a ego t to this what is so good about a mech idk where to begin

It is a good, cheap mechanical mod. Great for trying out mechanical mods, or if you just want an excellent backup mod. The batteries and the charger in the kit are rubbish, I would recommend getting just the mod and picking up some AW or Efest IMR batteries for it with a decent charger. It accepts any standard 510 or ego/510 delivery system. Works well with clearomizers, cartomizers, carto tanks, RDAs, RBAs, etc.

The benefits of a mechanical are the fact that it has no electronic circuitry, no wiring, no solder joints. It has very few points of failure, so should last a very long time. That also means that there is very little in it that will limit current or interfere with current from your battery to your coil. This is especially useful for anyone using rebuildable systems that want to use low resistance (Less than 1 ohm) coils that draw very high wattage (15-30+ watts). A 0.7 ohm coil on a mechanical can make for an amazing vape. I have not tried one below 0.7 ohms, but I have talked to vapers that say it is even more amazing around 0.4-0.6 ohms. Mechanicals still perform well for the standard non rebuildable systems though, and I use an EVOD with my k100 quite often when I am out and don’t want to risk my eVic or VAMO.

The drawbacks to mechanicals are the fact that it has no electronics, etc. That means no battery indicator, so you have to learn based on your vaping experience when the battery is spent. There is nothing in a mechanical that will prevent you from draining the battery to an unsafe level causing a battery vent or battery explosion. It also means that there is nothing that will stop you from firing a shorted coil, causing a battery vent/explosion. There is no electronic safety built into it whatsoever. You can purchase a Kick or some other system (such as the Crown, of the new kick clone) that will give you the safety features of an electronic system.

I love my k100, and use it quite often. In 18350 mode with an evod on it makes for a very short mod that is pocket friendly and stealthy.

Hey ladnar thanks for the help... I have an evod now what ohm resistance are you using? Can I see a pic of your k100?

I normally use a 1.8-2.2 ohm coil with my evods. Ether resistance works very well with the k100. As soon as i get back from the service call I am on, i will post a picture.

I went from an eGo to the K100. Right now I am using it with an iClear 30.

You can buy a shortstop to protect you against short circuits. And it is fairly obvious when the battery gets low. An 18350 should last you a day minimum. So as long as you charge it at the end of the day, you should be good.

Don't be intimidated by it, it is a very nice mod.

I think this might be out of my league coming from a ego t

You are over thinking it. It's relatively simple. All the device does is advance the battery from the non-engaged position to the contact point to complete the circuit. There are no internal wires or circuitry. It's got a 510 connection so you can use whatever delivery system you use now on it except for the ego threaded cartos.
