Howdy folks, need to introduce myself…

I’m a week old refugee from the tyrannical control of the organized “Self-Medication” cartel in the United States.

Even though I did not support the cartel during my 38 years as a “Self-Medicator” full time, I am guilty of enabling this organization for too long and way too much!

I paid this entity to grow into a world of extortion and government corruption that would make the likes of Stalin and Mao proud.

My apologies to those who detest supporting this corruption and the bad choices I have made.
I am only a week free of the monkey on my back, but you kind folks have helped me see the light.

All you generous folks have shown me how to get out of my prison of “Self-Medication” addiction.

Thank you kind Sirs/Madams, for the time and energy you folks have taken against the organized syndicate known as the FDA and the other crime lords who pull the strings.

Even though I enabled the Federal and State government extortion racket through taxes, I humbly ask for your forgiveness.
In my defense, I only paid pennies for the pack a day drug use back in the 70’s.

Then the “Self-Medication” dealer sold me the “Good Stuff” with no extortion while on active duty (AKA duty free). Only cost me a 10 year enlistment, so what the hay, 2 packs a day and no extortion, I was young and dumb, sue me!

Thank you for allowing me the space to rant.

One week and I are getting a clear conscience after 38 years of “Self-Medicate” addiction, at last!
Enjoy

PS, I’m not willing to give up my oldest, and ONLY “Self-Medication” addiction,
You can take away my roasting and extraction paraphernalia after my heart stops beating and my carcass begins the long road down purification!

Long live home roasted coffee and hand grind espresso!

PSS, Thanks retired1, read why I must not associate self-medication with http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ation/255864-why-we-dont-allow-drug-talk.html

eGo 1100 batts with CE4s as a trial gear.
It's worked for 50 hrs at a stressful job, I think I found a way to break the habit.
Already broke 2 CE4 in 2 rough weeks, so now I'll see how fast I can break the CE5.
Still cheaper than crushing a hard pack of American Spirit analogues.
Will be trying the iTaste MVP, the 1100 are only getting less than 6 hours if we hit the 12 hour days again I'll end up bumming from the long haul drivers for a cig.

Homeish now
You my dear based upon the 38 years of smoking and on the 6 cartons a month comment on another thread(thats what around 4 packs a day?!) ........need big guns, huge guns!

Id suggest getting yourself a nice mod(two preferably as one is for back up),.......takes an 18650 battery(or hell even the stacked two 18650s GLV is the only mod I know that does that), and is ready for a beating. I'd personally skip the cheap clones as your going to rip through those, cheap threads, no service stuffs is for the birds. Get some rebuild-able atty or tank....pending your vaping flavor style.(some like to bounce around)

it will cost more upfront to get the good solid stuffs..........but in the long run 6 month to a year be cheaper then ripping through cheaper mod and a lot cheaper then cigs.

My two cents...

I wholly agree; and more importantly, respect your opinion.
2 years ago I tried a disposable cig-look-alike at a corner convenience store, wish I would have hit this site first!

About my math, 3 cartons every two weeks has been average for me. Figure 30 packs in fourteen days rounds out to two packs a day.
I did not include the Nat Sherman MDC though, only bought those a few time's a year, price per pack really is high. If I remember right, bought the gift box set a few times when and if on sale. Been many a year since they had any sales going...

I hear ya loud and clear on the quality/cost to usability.
I work and play in fairly rough environments and have broken destroyed more analogues than I care to admit. Rolling papers in a small zip lock kept the losses to a minimum ;)

Let's see, of the 3 CE4's, 1 survived to be dry burned (Hey, gotta learn somewhere).
Of the 5 rebuildable CE5+, 2 not cracked enough to be a back up!
That's about 15 days of abuse, to see if I could kick the habit, I consider that cheap at twice the retail price!
Have a 1300mAh eGo-2 Variable pass-thru to abuse at work and play. Still use the eGo non-V as rotatable back-up.

I have found the 2.5ml Jumbo Resurrectors 1.7ohm single coils from Crystal Clear work best for me, they are convenient at my hectic work pace.
I also just got the iTaste MVP (1st gen), and it's baby buba, the iTaste VW Version 3, these get used in a more subdued environment (home, car & in the yard office) with a ten pack of ($30 trial type) iClear 16 and the one iclear 30 clearo's, which are great while not out 'n about.

As you know, one size does not fit all :p
We must get the tools to adapt to our environment and personality.
Advice like yours is awesome and makes kicking the stinkies so much easier, thank you.

This site is not just great for newbs like me, but a support group with power!

Thanks for letting me rant and rave, still breathing easy.

Enjoy the Vap

Cigs are $68 a carton on military bases here now...were $1.20 a carton in 1969 in Nam...cost me $10 a month now to vape..
Sixty Eight Freaking Chinese backed Yankee dollars! Ouch!
What's the going rate for carton's off post in Florida?
Dang, I take it they no longer have tax or duty free Post Exchange? Been a while...

Dang, I thought Oregon was bad @ $58 for American Spirits.
On top of breathing better, sticking it to the tax man just makes it sweeter.
Enjoy the Vap

Add on: I spent most of my time over sea while active, but we never had Federal taxes on any thing purchased in or through the PX. Think it was called the AAFES or some such thing. Post exchange is all I really remember though...

AAFES...The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (Exchange) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense. Its dual missions are to provide quality merchandise and services of necessity and convenience to authorized customers at uniform low prices, and to generate reasonable earnings to supplement appropriated funds for the support of United States Army and Air Force Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs (BX, PX, gym, bowling alley, swimming pool, softball, football, rec center, etc)

To coffee and vaping! :D

Oh yeah, celebrated my 1st month one day early.
I stared to rebuilt my espresso machine in July, as a motivator I held of hooking back the water main until I could go a month.
Gorilla Juice and fresh Blue Jaguar sure hit that sweet spot.
Areo Press is already packed in the camping gear ;)

Enjoy the Vape, even if you need to gap.

Congrats on your breakthrough. :D "Vape away, and breakaway, I always say". -...actually I just now made that up. ;)

On ECF we always stick it to the man when we can. BT is big trouble, it's also our code for (shhhhhh!) :smokie:'Big Tobacco' (cough). :?::)

Welcome to all our new folks!

I always tell new vapors, dont feel bad if you still smoke. I smoked and vaped for 6 months before making a tiny effort to just not smoke.:p How'd I do it? Back then, I got an eGo-T kit and made my own 30mg nic, juice. It saved my life.
If you are having trouble, make sure your nic level is stabilized.:vapor: Everyone is unique. Reading this forum is half the battle too. Congrats everyone! :2cool:
