I just bought this battery to replace my smoketech vv I lost. On my smoketech you could push the button three times to switch between vv and vw mode. on this one by presseing the button you can cycle through screens where you can change the voltage and the wattage. however only changing the voltage has any effect. are there not two modes and your just adjusting the voltage and wattage independently? the instruction leaflet was pretty vague.

Well im thinking im just going to return it. I have tried everything i can think of to switch modes without luck. it seems the extra functions of the plus and minus butons are not functioning like they are supposed to. I really like it otherwise so if anyone has any experience let me know. I wont be able to return it till Monday.

I don't have one but did a quick search. No manual on line and the only reference to wattage was one 'review'. All 'blurbs' by total vapor says it is variable voltage and while it may have a wattage readout, it doesn't look as if wattage is also variable.

You can change the wattage though. from 5 to 15 in 1 watt increments. it just doesn't have any effect There isn't anyway to change modes. i have tried holding the plus and minus button separately and together on each screen, pushing the main button repeatedly for 3 and 4 times (two changes screens from volt change, lcd color change, and watt change screen and 5 locks). i have tried just going to the watt change screen and start vaping. either mine is defective or it just allows you to change watts to make stupid people think they are doing something when it really has no effect. If your resistance is a constant you cant have your voltage AND wattage be variabl.

the instruction leaflet talks about how to get to the screen to change wattage but never says hot to switch modes. that would definitely be a bummer if its a gimmick for the ill informed.

Hmm... Actually, while hard to read :) ... it looks like you can adjust by wattage as well. The "Switching the main menu" action requires you do press the main button 2 times within 1.5 seconds. Each time you do that will switch to another mode. The first mode which should show 'U' is voltage. And you can adjust up or down using the (+) button and the (-) button.

In the "U" mode, hit the main button twice within 1.5 seconds to get to the second mode "LCD". Here you can adjust the color of the LCD - pressing + and - will get you different colors. While in that mode - do the 'mode switching' deal by pressing the main button twice (within 1.5 sec) and you should get a "P" which is the power or wattage mode. Again + and - to adjust. The fourth mode is puffs.

The only thing is that it is unclear if doing the 'switching' mode while in another mode will take you to the next mode OR it may be that you have to press the main button 2 times and then another 2 times (to get to lcd) and another 2 times to get to "P" etc. OR if you hit the main button 2 times to get to U and three times to get to lcd, four times to get to U etc. I'm guessing it's the 2nd one - iow, pressing the main button two times (within 1.5 seconds) and then doing it again and again to get to P/Wattage.

It isn't absolutely clear but it appears that there is an actual variable wattage mode which is pretty nice...

Try it out and report back :D

OK... I missed your one post where you say it definitely isn't changing the wattage. If that's the case, I'd send it back or contact the vendor first and see what they say to do.

For every two times you hit the button it switches. I can get to all screens and make changes. I can absolutely change the wattage, it just doesnt do anything. even vaping right after I change the wattage and still on wattage screen it uses the voltage. I tested it by setting the voltage to 3 and went to wattage and set it to 15. that should sizzle like crazy immediately. It just slowly starts a very low sizzle. Then i set it to six volts and navigated to wattage and set wattage to 5. much faster and louder sizzle. For other brands you hold the + button for 5 seconds to swtch. im thinking it might be defective because the instructions say that holding + and - simultaneously should kill the display and it doesnt. the forum wont let me attach a bigger pic so her]e is a

Got it! Thanks... If possible, I'd send it back or at least contact the vendor. Most likely others have emailed them on the same issue. Too bad though - it sounds like a good set up for eGo-type batts.
