Ok iam putting my tubemods on hold right now since i got hooked on the idea of having some epipes, mostly since pepole using their pipe to point is always right ;)

first look at my first attempt which i sadly cracked the neck on after this pic was taken when i was fitting the eGo connector on it.

*note these are just the shells drilled out no connectors or wiring as of yet*

Some kind of weird african wood highly aromatic not suitable for a regularpipe, smells of tigerbalm when drilled or cut. has a birch top edge.

After i cracked the neck and almost broke my ring finger i put a piece of brass tubing on it, this is kinda how its gonna look when finished.

My attempt at a bent shank 18650 pipe carved from a piece of birch. Still very rough, the black lineas are marks for shaping. Iam now awaiting some broken 510 batteries from a vendor iam freidnly with to repurpose as atomizer connections.

And thanks to alekos557 i have with alot of help from him figured out how to make the switches aswell :)

That looks like a great start on your pipes...brerbear......(a lot of fun...heh???)...will be looking for more pic's and info. on your chronicle.

"Pointing a pipe is always right", of course, but you may not know "A pipe makes you look alot smarter",or "A pipe gives a wise man time to think, or(in my case) "a fool something to put in his mouth".....I will be looking for your posts......Let us know also, what tools, etc you are useing.....

Not the right ones :D a dull mora-knife, carpet knives and woodrasps

Nice progress brerbear, it looks quite like Sapele, a very tight and closed grain. Does the end grain have a lot of contrasting layers?

PS: I like the added brass.

No not really, the grain is extremly straight though and when you cut it its realy resinous almost to the point that you can feel it.

Thanks alot fo sanding and polishing left on the brass though.

Good to see you joining the e-pipe community. I'll bet ya that a lot of carving and whittling. Post some more when your ready.:>)

Oh yeah and helluva lot of sanding.
