First off, please, everyone here, thank you for contributing to this forum. From "tips" to "product reviews" to "legal issues", this place has given me the confidence to dive in and try out this oddity called "e-cigarette" smoking.

Secondly, wow! After scouring around this forum I "needed" to get trying things out myself, so went with the Canadian distributor epuffer.com. Still a bit reluctant with online ordering and also wanting the product in my hand "today" rather than down the road, I sent them an email asking if they were local enough for me to pick-up a starter kit directly. A fellow named Jason helped out initially, then Shawn picked up the ball today and went out of his way to meet me btwn meetings. I bought two starter kits and even tried out one before shaking hands goodbye.

For the review part of this post (and please note that this is an entirely newbie experience):

1. "Ordering Process" - these guys went out of their way to help me get what I was looking for asap, meaning today. Can't have been easier on me. Shawn ensured he brought exactly what I wished to order (two elite starter kits + 1 bottle of e-liquid, Marbello flavour), stuck around long enough to chat up about the product, the quest for gov't approvals, future plans, etc. and walked me through trying out my first puff.

2. Putting an "e-cigarette" together for the first drag is a simple as pie. I want to say this really loudly for all the other "lurkers" on this board who (like me this last week) are curious and hopeful, but cautious too. Just too simple. Too quick.

3. On the way home I stopped by the local mall to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner. I didn't make a big, big deal of the "e-cig", but I did want to get a sense of what it'd be like walking through a public "anti-smoking" area with one. Oddly though, I felt odd. It's been so many years since I went into a public bldg with a cigarette that I've been conditioned to "feel bad", and always being polite even outdoors, it doesn't exactly feel comfortable taking puffs anywhere outside nowadays either. So today, within a half hour of getting the ePuffer kit, I was in a mall and doing it - amazing. A few odd looks and the clerk asked if I was "smoking" with a tone of curiosity, to which I explained "nope, it's just a vapourizer, like an inhaler" and left it at that.

4. The ePuffer elite produces a quality amount of vapour compared to my (almost in the garbage) regular brand of Dumaurier Special Mild. The same "cloud" actually, to my subjective perspective. Taste is amazingly tasty and mild (high nic level, regular tobacco flavour).

5. Problem - one of the chargers doesn't turn to "red" (indicating the battery is being charged) at all, so I suspect it's defective (or I've missed something entirely and haven't a clue how to screw in a battery despite all these years of living!?), while the other one is difficult to find the right "fit" to trigger the red recharging indicator lighter.

Summary thus far - within a week I've gone from being a smoker into a very hopeful (almost expectant?) non-smoker. I'm looking to use this product as an alternative to smoking (so need be careful re: more nic intake now that it's being delivered in a - sofar - non-banned vehicle that allows for indoor use, etc.). The ePuffer guys made it super easy to get the product in my hand, the product itself was just as easy to get going with as described, and so far I'm getting the taste, sensation and addiction needs covered that I was desperate for.

Bingo- I can certainly relate to that- I don't quite dare fire one up in a resteraunt, and 'feel guilty' stealthsmoking it
