Hi, newbie with her first pen here...I'm on a vaporfi Pro at the moment, since that was the least intimidating place to start (I've heard later that they're overpriced for what you're getting, but I guess that's life). I want to be able to replace the atomizer heads on my tank without paying $10 shipping on a $15 box of parts -- does anyone know what kind of substitute I could make?

I'm a little lost about the head sizes and what their significance is, too, so I'd love a little advice on that. :O

I would say, unless you can find a 'value' alternative, just buy some new clearomisers.

You're going to need them long-term if you keep vaping.

Try the Aspire K1 or mini Nautilus... the coils will outlast Kanger by days, if not weeks. Honestly, the 'original' Kanger evod heads are yesterday's best buy. You could fit them to your tanks, but they work out less good and more expensive than Aspire, because most users need so many. I used 2 packs (10 heads) a month during my evod stage.
Now, I use 2 single heads per month. Far cheaper and far better.

What I've noticed about VF is most of their products (specifically tanks) are rebranded. I bought an air flow control from them just to see if it worked in my Protank 3 because their Platinum tank looks EXACTLY like a Protank 2. Sure enough, it works perfectly. That being said, the coils for your Pro look just like Kanger single bottom coils so they'll probably work just fine. There are sites where you can order a single coil at a time for testing purposes. I personally recommend myvaporstore due to fast shipping and wonderful customer service. Just do a search for "Kanger single" on their site and what you need should pop up.

As for head "sizes", these numbers actually represent ohms. I started with VF too and I really wish they would make that more clear. Ohms are the resistance of the coil and you can find post after post in the forums here (or on google) about what that means. If you like how your heads have been vaping, take out your head and see what's etched onto the side of it next to the Ω(ohm) symbol. Get one of the Kanger coils in the same resistance and give it a shot.
Also, welcome to the forums and to vaping! :toast:

Thanks for the advice, everyone! ;o;

I'm liking how the VaporFi vapes so far (although that might just be the juice I have in it...) so I'll take a look at the Kanger single-coils before I sink too much money into a nicer tank...and I will take a look at what head I have in at the moment.

I'll definitely keep the SublimeVapor tank and the Aspire/Nautilus in mind, though! :)
