This question pertains to the eRoll. Originally, for my first cartridge, atomizer, atomizer body, and battery: I simply filled the cartridge with my e-liquid of choice and assembled the device. It seemed to work well.

After reading Setting up your new e-cigarette - ECF InfoZone I was convinced I should have dropped a few drops of e-liquid into the atomizer first. I set up another eRoll, this time I dropped 2 drops of e-liquid into the atomizer before assembling it and dropping a few drops into the cartridge. Is dripping e-liquid into the atomizer shaft necessary? I took a few puffs and then inhaled, and it knocked me on my ... (with only 6mg/ml, fairly low nicotine). Is this normal? I feel very lightheaded. Is it necessary to drop drops into the atomizer before assembling the eRoll? I almost prefer my previous method.

Secondly, how dangerous is 6mg/ml nicotine e-liquid if it is spilled on skin? It hasn't happened yet, but would it simply make me mildly sick, or should I consider calling poison control if it does happen?

Thanks guys,
- A newbie :)

I'd imagine everyone's a little different as far as how they react to nic being spilled on them, but I don't think 6mg is much to worry about. I constantly bathe my fingers and hands in 24mg and don't even give it a second thought.

I don't have an eroll, but from the looks of it all you need to do is fill the tank and slide it in, maybe give it a minute or two for the juice to get wicked to the coil, then should be good to go.

Hey Less, welcome to the ECF. After you have made 5 posts, you can post in other sections of the forum.

I drop a couple of drops onto the wicking in the spike of a brand new atty. I find it works great that way and it's also recommended in the little manual that comes with your eRoll. It's not necessary to do it every time. Just the first time.

I have an eroll and also used an ego-C (same setup just bigger really). Never once primed a new atty. I just fill the tanks, install and if it's a new atty let it sit for a couple minutes so it can soak in. On an ego-c a few puffs with no power helps to wick it in as well. Doesn't help with the e-roll though as it's an auto battery which is probably why they suggest the primer drops. So....If it's a new coil and you're going to vape it right away a drop or two would probably be smart.

Basically those are similar to a little cartomizer. They're stuffed with material that needs to absorb the juice. If you don't prime it and juice hasn't soaked in you might get a dry or burnt hit. Worst case is you burn some material in there and the flavor of that lingers.
